  1. Basically when i go to play half life it says that we strongly recommend you update your drivers. I can play it without them but i feel it may be affecting the quality, when i go to ATI to get the new ones its always- This page cannot be found any ideas?

Finally got there site working now what the hell do i want i have a Radeon grapchis card, but i am pritty sure my motherboard is ATI? confused (Y)

  2. i currently run the 05magura i switched over from the Old style and too be honest theres not alot of difference magura were boasting about 60percent more power or something but thats rubbish. I standard booster you get with the 05 magura is not all that good buy a RB or something (XTR if you can find one) too me theres not really any difference apart from the tpa in the 05 is less likely to be broken due to crashes etc. The never style lever is nothing to shout about either.

Have alook around i would personally buy whichever ones you can find cheaper.

Theres the 05´s priced at 99.99 (seems reasonable (N) )

  3. Thanks for the replies guys!

For convenience and compatibility I think I will stick with the Middlesburn crankset.

Ill just get a cheapo front 24" inner tube then, and perhaps a IRC KUJO 24*2.35 tire on the rear with the nokian DH tube, and a DMR tire on the front.

Ill be getting the wheels from chain reaction so costs include the wheelbuild etc, the "Sun Usa Rhyno Lite XL 32h Black 24inch" rims will be decent though?

Im having trouble locating the 2004 maguras, the 2005 ones should be okay though with some decent pads? The standard boosters should be okay or not?

Regarding going singlespeed - that is very tempting but Im not sure what ratio I need yet, and I want to get around and take it on small rides with my g/f as well (she is learning to ride a bike - literally!)

Oh also, I have seen a Rohloff trials chain 8 speed somewhere - its about £35 or so, worth it over a Kool chain?

    Thanks,

    ~Gareth

Just stick with the KMC kool my friend, the Rohloff isnt worth that price imo. Everyhting else looks fine even though i might be tempted to put gears on it single speed drives me crazy

  4. Boxing is great if its for the heavyweight champ in vegas and stuff, i love watching them, but amir kahn and that light stuff kinda sucks(dont get me wrongs hes still rock hard) theres nothin worse than seeing boxing in worthing or some other small place in some community centre.

  5. When were u thinking about going because i think i might of stumbled across something?

  6. 1.I have actually joined tyke trials but very rarely go.

    2. The main reason behind it is transport, i dont have my own car and my parents wont take me. since i am really the own rider near here i also cant catch a lift off people, also usally these places arent near main towns etc so a train is also pritty useless. Hopefully when i learn to drive in 2months (already have car sorted) i will deffo start coming to more.

    3. Not really bothered about this, just that i probally wont know anyone there so that may be abit akward at first.

  7. I run a smooth rim and quite frankly koxx blocks arent up to the job, so i went on the hunt for some decent pads on a smooth rim evrywhere i looked zoo came out on tops. I know i should grind my rim but i aint got a angle grinder(terrible excuse i know) also i am hoping that summer wont be a wet one so a grind wont be essential. Should be purchasing my zoo pads in the next couple of days just hope it makes a difference.

  8. Take it off your bike, if it spins smooth your fine if it spins but keeps getting stuck either ring supercycles and tell them this is aceptable becuase its new or buy a new one there only cheap, When i rode with a dodgy ACS it suddenly locked up meaning i asnt going no where and hurt myslef quite badly. The best option is buy a profile

  9. 1 finger on each brake for me, when i was first starting using v brakes i used to have to ride with 2 fingers on each which is why i probally couldnt gap. If i try using 2 no i struggle so much its stupid i cant even back hop with 2 fingers on the rear :P a few people i know can ride properly with 2 fingers on each but i think its abit pointless becuase it must mean you have less control.

  10. I have been looking around and was thinking about buying the new hope trials disc brake for £130 at the moment i am running a front avid which over the last few weeks has started to slowly keep decresing in power. I was wondering is it worth the £130 for the new hope i have had a hope before and i wasnt really that impressed, i was wondering how the power performs over the avid mech also what its like in relation to modulation etc to other hope brakes which i wasnt too keen on.

  11. positive i am going the right way( the pedal spanner was dead cheap one in these £25 bike kits) i sprayed WD40 over the threads (or as close as i could get) and left it about 45mintues and still no luck. :(

  12. Basically my caged pedals are coming to the end of there life, i went to remove them earlier today got the non-drive side off fine but then i get to the other pedal and it will not budge one bit( and before u say it i am tyring to turn the spanner the right way) i had this problem a while back but thought i would leave the pedal on since it was fine. Anyways i ended up bending my pedal spanner and my other normal spanner got no where i took the outer cages out to get more clearence, didnt make a damn difference any one got any ideas how to shift since it eats my strength for breakfast.

  13. I run a profile hub on my monty and love it, i used to the run the ENO freewheel not the trials version i should add and it was fine but i wanted a few more engagement points also the ripping jeans issue was slightly annoying, I decided to get a profile cost me around 210 in total including wheel build and spokes (got a new rim) which isa fair amount but its sure worth it, for the weight issue i can slighly notice the difference since my ENO weigh next to nothing but its not a problem since the engagement points make up for it. If you can afford it go for it.

EDIT- you can get a 36 hole 12T driver for £140 special offer on wiggle, seems a good deal
