  1. I don't need to pump them but ill be covering 2.5k miles and if something is liable to break it will. Plus Rockshox recommend checking pressure every 5 rides and as that will bleed a bit each time I will be having to top up every few days.

Cheers for help peeps i have one ordered now if i have problems ill update but should be fine

  2. This doesn't work as your body gets used to what ever your doing. Repeating the same stuff your body gets to a level then stops.

I thought you need to fake your body into thinking it needs to get stronger etc but I'm no expert

You can only ride for so long before you start getting tired and that stage I can't see how you can improve technique.

If your starting to get tired you'r body will recover stronger/ fitter but unless you do a form of resistive/ explosive training it will only be marginal

  3. Where in the real world use would this type of maths be used.

Since leaving school I have only ever used the times tables, area, and removing percentages.

So what I wanna know other than being z maths teacher what jobs do you go for if your good at the math

Pretty sure you must use ratios from time to time. And your post must be a troll

Also wether perdiction, robotics, being a pilot +all of the above aand im sure there are more

  4. On a more personal note though, I think performance enhancing drugs and doping methods should be legal in all sports. It would definitely make them ten times more entertaining - especially the really dull ones like golf, darts, snooker and cycling.

Snooker would be interesting, spectators behind tempered glass...

  5. There seems to be a divide, some people still have a bit of respect for him while others have lost it all.

I have a third which I'm only expressing because A) two opinions is a little boring B ) I've nothing better to do right now. I've never really found road riding all that entertaining and find watching the Tour de France about as much fun as watching paint dry. I've never had much of an opinion of Lance just because I've never really cared.......and I still don't. I've really tried thinking about the whole situation and come up with an insightful opinion of it but I failed, I just don't care.

Please don't pass this off as me being negative but it's like me caring about a ballet dancer doping, it's just not that interesting to me.

I don't particularly care about road riding, but doping or no doping the fact he had 3 major cancers then got back to the top of his game at anything is inspirational. didn't know about all the other stuff about him dicking people over (which lowers my opinion of him as a person but not the reason I know of him)but if he hadn't been the success he was people would have never heard the hardships that were over come and that still something that could help people.

Basically I didn't want to see him tarnished because he's a good light of hope for cancer suffers etc but that is too late now anyway.

  6. Okay couldn't be assed reading all this ( sue me) but here's my tips for loosing weight or getting fitter.

    1. Run , it's great cardiovascular exercise and you'll be doing a lot of it if you join the RMs. Learn to get over the pain and learn to run or quick march with a loaded bergan.

    2. Swim , it works out your whole body , doesn't put nearly as much stress on your joints as other exercise and will improve general fitness ( also recommend if you want to be a marine )

3 Use body weight or dumbells and the like , not machines , you'll learn better form and you'll have to control your muscles more.

    4. Push yourself!

If you want to loose weight something I've found useful is this.

Eat quorn instead of meat. Quorn is high in protein like meat but very low in fat , also in my opinion can be preferable in taste.

    Hope that helps you.

Personally i think this is the most sound advice so far, its not so much what you eat its reducing excess, increasing burn rates is fare more enjoyable than reducing intake and pushing yourself and cardiac exercise are the best way in my opinion!

  7. Kcal is physical measure of energy=amount of energy you get by burning(literally) 1g of something. Human body use chamically bonded energy, so using physical measures is wildly inappropriate. It takes 10times more energy to fully breakdown and absorb 1g of protein than do the same with 1g of fat. So think once again about this "kcal=kcal" bs ;)

I'll concede to that though the unit i question is the physical enery

  8. Wind resistance is due to surface area A skydiver doesn't lower his mass when he pulls his parachute he just increases the surface area of that mass.
In a vaccum acceleration =mg and would therefore be only dependent on mass.

I do agree though kcal = kcal = measure of energy

    edit: Fixed lol
