  1. Abit unrelated but if you ever fancy a ride give me a pm I'm only in Portsmouth :) Seems CurtisRider has given you a perfect answer :)

he did and it was great.

i've haven't even rode my bike yet haha. i got it second hand and needed some more parts for it. i might need to get a bit of practice in before i start embarrassing myself :)

There looks like there are some many nice places in Portsmouth to ride! when my bike is ride-able and i've had some practice i'll pm you :)

No worries, there are other brands to go for but Superstar are well priced, free postage and the same as everybody elses...

Tarty also has a good range at good prices too!

thank you, i was always looking under freewheel on sites so i couldn't find any. i saw the freewheels on tarty for like £130 i was like maybe not then :)

  2. You have a rear freehub (where the sprockets go onto a splined interface that houses the ratchet). A freewheel is is the sprocket and ratchet combined into 1 unit.

You need one of these if you have spacers already:

Or one of these if you don't:

thank you so much. you have no idea how hard its been to find a product you don't know the name of :)

  3. My bike is RFW and i don't want to switch to FFWso please refrain from telling me to :)

i'm used to riding bmx so i didn't realize that the freewheels were different. I ordered a freewheel that i thought would fit, it was the type where is freewheel mechanism was attached to chainring (I'm going to call it a chainring as i don't know what to call it whens its on the back). when i took off my old freewheel i found out that the mechanism was attached to my rear hub and only the spacers and chainring came off. i am not sure when just the chainring is called so i was wondering if anybody did. also what are good ones to get (i'm on a budget so none £30+) and do you have any links to them?
