  1. This is what I've done the last couple of weeks. I've gotten as far as this:

    http://videos.mtb-news.de/42736/up_to_front_practice

Probably not as high as one should jump when practicing this move* but I think moving up a palllet every other month or so will bring some results.

Right now I'm at a point where I still have to visualize the move before doing it so that the technique still isn't quite right. For example, I should lean more over the handle bars. I think it's like everything else in trials. Practice x1000. :D

Niconj what bike is that you are using

  2. Has it hard a lot of use? All parts do eventually wear out or brake.

    Check this out http://www.trashzen.com/trash.php

Hi ,its not had hard use just the normal ,I do understand stuff does break but you do get a friggin fright whn it goes though !!

I've broken a few of the Onza square taper BBs in the past - to unintentionally quote Tom Jones, it's not unusual.

If you've got the money to do so, it might be worth taking the opportunity to upgrade to an ISIS crank setup. It's stiffer and stronger so might be a good time to give it a pop.

Hi ,thnx yeh I will hve a look at ISIS cheers

  3. Won't be the wheelbase. It's on a kids bike, it'll be the bike, and you been a full size grown up. Try it on a full size geo'd mod

Yeh I'm looking for another bike now , but not sure what to go for !!

  4. Just one of them things where you need to start small and build your way up. I sometimes go past a small fence I used to try and half pedal "back in the day" and really struggled with and it's not even knee height!

Remember it's not just the kick that's giving you the lift to get onto the object, when you lift the front wheel with your bad foot you should be leaning back and preloading ready to jump up with the kick. I find the technique for this is best learnt doing bunnyhops to rear on things then when you haven't got the room to get a decent runup you use a half pedal to achieve the same power and speed you need. If you get me??!!

Yes thanks I see what you're saying. What is the best sequence of learning ,is it b/hop side/hop pedalup ?

  5. That's probably because you spend more time doing pedal-ups though? The feel of bunnyhopping a trials bike is totally different to bunnyhopping anything else, and that seems to be the main stumbling block people have when they learn them. They're very two-stage on a trials bike, in the sense that you really have to lever the front end up and get it quite high before you can really put in the second part of the hop, whereas on a BMX/MTB/24 they tend to be a lot more fluid. I used to really struggle with them on my mod then the feeling/technique kind of clicked one day and I was able to improve the height I got drastically in a pretty short space of time.

In very much related news, mods + no bunnyhops = doing it wrong :P
