"Since we are outside of our warranty period and you state your using the rim for some rather aggressive riding, bunnyhop tailwhips put a very strong very unique pressure onto a rim, we want to offer you a crash replacement option.

I've sent your information to one of our distributors in your area and asked them to assist you."

Takes advice, does small drop, rim explodes, dies.

    Damn you Westlaaaaake!

    :P

Anyone know if Spank accept feedback on their products? Might be worth giving them a shout and showing them your picture? Product advancement and all that jazz.

    Wrote them already. Waiting.

I've got some old Spank Spike rims (not the Race 33) that cracked like that well over a year ago and are still working fine.  Is yours doing anything untoward to make you notice they were cracked, or was it just something you happened to find?  Assuming it's something you spotted just because you happened to look under your rim tape, I'd just keep using it as it is.

I was trying a flatwhip and my spoke snapped (not the first time). I removed rimtape to look for a nipple because it was somewhere inside and i spotted those cracks. Hmm if you say so I will keep using it. Thanks :).

  4. After two years Im back. This time I was changing my spoke niple and noticed that my spank rims are broken. Same crack in every hole. Anyone had this? Cant believe. Had cheap trialtech rims for 6 years and nothing. These didnt last even 2 years (I was riding properly maybe 1 year max). Assembed in shop.

Looks sweet. Does it feels different from old (2011-2013) 4play geo?

I tried the old one but it had 1 gen inspired riser bars. Fourplay with arcade bars feels much better thats what I can say ;D

I'm struggling to see the crack in that frame! How the hell did you spot it? Have you got xray vision?

:DD, paint cracked somehow in the beginning. Removed and there was a micro crack

as I saw. Sent it to Inspired for a test. Frame was fine, they said sometimes paint can crack. Holding strong since then.

I wanted a Hex Team, but this post scared me of those cranks!!

well, they give 6 months warranty in case something goes wrong, but if you gonna smash it hard warranty will not cover it. If you are really scared of them but you want hex anyways just upgrade those cranks or buy a x3 sram spider with sprocket and bashring and replace inspired integrated bashring.

  8. Hi guys,

Im thinking about getting shimano saint m800 cranks and inspired v2 bashring on it. Maybe someone has used similar setup because i want to make sure it will fit (I have 2015 Inspired fourplay frame). Also would be great to hear some reviews of Inspired v2 bashring. Is it strong? Has someone broke it?

Nice man! How did you get the chain perfectly tight with no tensioner? I'm just about to change my rear hub to a hope pro 4 trials. Quite want to ditch my tensioner if possible.

It was not an old chain and I used half link, also added some plastic in dropouts because there was 1 or 2 mm free space. For now Im using trialtech tensioner because chain stretched a bit.

What was wrong with normal cranks and a normal bash guard? Never saw the point of the integrated stuff, you're just getting rid of 95% of your options.

When i bought it at first I didnt expect such problems and after thinking about options I realised these cranks wont work with anything else actually :D. I dont want to buy new cranks just because of it but seems I have to.

Also, I saw Ross on his bike is using spider for gxp cranks if I am right. So maybe I should try that.

I think they really are just to shield the chain a couple of times, not actually take impacts, is that a revised version?

They do not have updated version of it yet. I noticed that Truvativ chainring have less movement when I put it on the same descendant cranks and inspired chainring has a slight movement on cranks BEFORE screwing on bolts. Bolts do hold chainring in place but hard pedal kick on landing backwards moves it a bit and I suppose thats a major problem. I broke it 2 times on the place, that means something for sure. Well, anyway thats just my opinion :)
