No there's definitely more flex than aluminium

The clean is only the lever and I'm not sure the racing line would be any better than the one I'm looking at as there is so much flex in the frame

I see what your saying but as the bike is carbon I need to be careful with it all. I like the look of those as well. Apart from strength did you like them ?

I like the 04 and 05 Maguras. They're reliable and tried and tested. I haven't tried the newer ones though or any of the other brands but considering I've never had any problems with the older ones I've never felt the need to change.

Everyone has different experiences with brakes though so you'll end up with a lot of different opinions and as a result, probably end up more confused.

I'm beginning to think that, lol. Was just seeing if one stood out to be the ones to go for as only used dual discs

Ha ha, I've had a look round for the pro race hubs non disc and can't find any info on them. I've seen different year hs33, any ideas which ones to go for ?

Hi, I've just bought a used monty m5 and want to change the discs for rim brakes. Guess I can take off the discs and use same hubs ? Been looking on tartys and racing line seem over twice the price so I guess they are the best. Any others that are good and reliable that people can recommend ?

Yeah I'm sticking with the try-all. Been playing with them on and put the montys back on to see and they felt to narrow and I had less control balancing so it's def easier for me with them wider. Cheers

I think as I get better narrower bars will feel alright but as I'm still learning I think hands being wider apart so help with balance, mine anyway

Yes that how the try-all ones feel now as the montys felt opposite. The try-all carbons sound good, wouldn't mind trying carbon bars

I've tried both again the 680 kamel bars and the try-all 720 bars and the try-all bars are a lot more comfy so sticking with them

Just weight to start with then when felt a bit more of position I needed to be in I then started pedal to get up. I tried all the rocking before but as soon as decided to pedal kick up it felt like I was starting again so did it the way I said and I got it fairly easy the second night of trying

What I found easiest way as I've just learnt them, was to just stand on bike and pull front up for as long as I could just to help me find my upright balance, once I could hold it for a while I then started to hop. Gave up the other way as I was hopping all over the place into things and landing on my ass a lot. Thats what worked for me just getting the balance before the hop, doesn't hurt as much when you come off as well, lol. Also found pulling front up slowly helped better than trying to pull up hard and going to far backwards...

Thanks I've now put the try all bars on again and will have a play, the monty ones do feel narrow but as i don't have the experience I didn't know if that's a normal feeling, or if I'd be better off getting used to narrower bars. I'll just keep playing. Thanks

It's common sense if you can ride them well, as stated I'm learning so do know which one should feel right, wider or narrower but thanks for your helpful input
