  1. I bought a second hand Onza T-Bird at te tail-end of last year and it has got the old Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brake on the rear. It came with the standard Magura factory pads which were okay, but I've replaced them Rockman Greens.

Problem is, they are REALLY close to the rim and rubbing against the sidewall of the tire. I cannot seem to shift the pistons/slave cyclinder (not sure about terminology there) back further to move the pad away from the rim.

    Any ideas or tips?

    Cheers.

  2. Hey, Keiran. Just found this post. One of the threads on my Magura brake mount's has been threaded at the top. There's still a bit at the bottom, but because of the height once the clamps and brake is on, the bolt can't grip the thread at the bottom of the bolt-hole. Phoned LBS who can take a look next week, but thinking helicoil kit might do the trick. Any advice?

  3. 22:18 will be really light as mods either run 24:16 or 18:12 but most free wheels are 18t

You're telling me! It's like pedalling into air. :) So do you reckon the 18T freewheel on the rear could be moved to the front? As mentioned I have a fixed 12T on the opposite side, so could potentially flip the wheel and have an 18:12 setup, but not sure if it's do-able or not. As you can tell, I'm vastly experienced. ;)

  4. Hi, folks

I recently bought a second-hand Onza T-Bird as just starting out. I noticed that the back hub has got 2 sprockets on it, but they're on either side of the hub, left and right side, in between the hub and the chainstay. Is it normal to have a second one as I've never seen this before? One sprocket looks slightly larger, so I assume it's to flip the wheel around to run a smaller rear sprocket. Just never seen it before.

    Cheers!

  5. Hi, all

I'm Tom, based in Moray in Scotland and I'm just getting started into trials riding. Been riding MTB on-and-off for a few years, but recently got back into many aspects of biking in the last few months. I love going out and riding my hardtail, but now looking for something more fun that's easier to throw around.

I recently got a hold of a second-hand Onza T-Bird, 20" wheels, with hydraulic front disc and hydraulic rim brakes on the rear (Magura). I'll pop up a picture up later. I've been looking for a forum which was specific to trials, where I can ask (and eventually answer) questions and chat with other folk.

    Cheers!

    Tom
