  1. personally i find all small cars attract a premium, as there seen as starter cars, regardless of insurance groups, for example, i seem to remember my bmw in standard form(group11) cost £21 more to insure than a 1.2 punto, which was about 8 groups lower, purely cos as a 18 year old i wasnt expected to have a car like that.

this is the same story with myself, im looking and getting myself a bmw e36 316i compact, yes it aint your average 17 year olds car but its no dearer to insure than a 1.1 saxo etc. yes it wont be my own policy but im not really to fussed as ive sorted something out with my dad etc about this.

and plus getting the bmw ill make it really tidy then 2 years down the line drop a nice 2.5ltr engine in there obviously uprating everything at the same time.

and another reason for getting the bmw, is that i have learnt to drive in a 1.6sport focus, 1.8tdci focus estate and 1.8tdci focus (AA car) so i dont really wanna go to a smaller engine car would rather pay a tad extra and have a car i dont have to rag the arse of to go anywhere.

    cheers ian.

  2. well dont expect to ride the fountain when the shops are open no point plus theres a police station box right next to it

il be up for the skate park, and ian wanna look at that drop gap we done ages ago see if its possible going up (not a big drop gap, was for us though last year)

    anyone else

2 years since i had the t-rex mate,

  3. lol i find it funny cos all the riders in the southend to basildon area probably know thats a bionic my question is why lie you just made you self look like a right idiot by trying to pass off the frame for something else

i got a idea ian why not get ben H to make up some stickers and stick them up on my old rex and try to pass it off lol (or not)

    JOEL YOUR A MUG

lets pretend my 221pr is a ti, no-one will no.

  4. that is a split copy of my GU when i had one, prsonally i didnt like the ride of the frame or the profile.

edit: actually an exact copy, even the spacers are exactly the same.

edit again: that looks like some pictures i took when i had i last year, even the chain links due to my bike having stiff links in the bmx chain, but i split it, im confussed. think someone is reliving my old bike.

  5. should have seen that coming, no i do NOT like men

i don't have anything against gay people though, as long as they leave me alone :P

I just haven't had a girlfriend in 4 years so i kinda forgot what it's like

mainly due to shyness, and all the girls here just being damn sluts

god it must be awful, im with dave on this one,

my g/f has a road bike which i also have and it can be annoying especially as i use my bikes to get away form things etc,

would have to laugh if she got better than you chris

  6. ive got a BB7 on the rear in 160 size rotor and im not really that impressed it seems to slip alot,

it is alright if your riding natural, ive got sd7 levers and clarks cables and liek i say it still isnt great like the front ones.

  7. Fatpants always adds something jokey to threads, just ignore it. I chuckled briefly, and just scroll past it!

Thanks for your help everyone, I guess Relay has the majority vote, I shall check later :)

I told her to sell it ages ago, it's nothing but trouble! (It's French after all!)

Cheers peeps i'll let you know what happens

ot: there is nothing wrong with french cars.

  8. koxx browns and a sharp grind or snowys and a medium grind with tar .Any of thease combos are absoluctly mint i Would recomend them to anyone.

    rick :)

snowys are great pads imho ( i have used them and tohught they were awful pads), and what is the point is grinding your rim then using tar aswell? kinda defeats the point in grinding your rim, you might aswell not have ground it,

if you can afford new pads then put a light-medium grind on your rim and use the kool stops i did for a while and they were alright.

  9. funny funny replies.

ride how you wish to, but i think your main problem is going to arouse when your LBS says "sorry mate it comes with the brakes as it is" a good LBS would say "ye thats fine we will swop them for free and get it sorted for when you want it" but in a perfect world not everything is that complex.

who cares what side its on? as long as YOUR comfortable with it :P:lol: there isnt many special countries in the world but england and auz are 2 of a very few that are special. a couple of SPECIAL things that england and auz have in common are: england is full of "immigrants" and Auz as it is full of "english immigrants" (Pommes) wanting to get away from this S**T hole!!that is full of bad immigrants, so to confuse them we put the brakes on their bikes the "wrong" way round so that they hopefully end up under a bus/in front of a car/or purely just cant stop going downhills (Y) top thinking if you ask me

    Waynio..........................

sounds like what we do where i work waynio (Y)

we offer to change the brakes on all new builds including road bikes, and that is a pain in the arse to change them around.

  10. on my racing bikes my fornt brake is on the left rear on the right,

it is just the english have to be different that is probally all but that what 'dont you just hate it when' is the most logical answer to the question
