I’m 50 this year and after doing head first back into mountain biking and losing 30 pounds so far, I decided that getting a trials bike would help with balance and other skills, and offer somewhat of a more complete workout to the rest of my body.
I have found that I am improving very slowly as I work through track stands and basic things, but I am improving and can stay longer on the bike without paying for it the next day.
It’s going to be a journey and I need to be careful to avoid injury.

I have both a 26” and 20” trials bike, and as a beginner, the 20” is definitely easier to learn on. It is lighter and easier to maneuver. The larger wheel bike does roll over natural terrain better.
