  1. Well I'm guessing it isn't hardware, because normally it will simply BSOD and reboot to try and prevent damage to the other components.

If it was me I'd just format it now, I've always found when things like this go wrong, you can almost never save it.

Not always if the process needed to run can't and mb wont be able to force either. Either way i would still format, and before installing with windows again, bios flash, update and run pc check on al processes. Thats what we do for our units we produce for the military etc.

  2. That will have no effect on it crashing all the time, it crashes because there's something wrong with the OS, or a piece of hardware is dieing/damaged.

I know im trying to establish what process is running to maybe shed more light on a specific piece of hardware. How long has the OS been on there, previous formats?

  3. Yeah i know what you mean about doctors, but i know myself now that its not good, can't sit crossed legged, cant push clutch pedal on my car some times, cant squat properly now too, knees constantly swollen, not good! I still climb and kayak a lot so hopefully it might ease the pain, but i can feel climbing being off limits to soon!!

  4. Obviously I don't know your situation but Doctors are always telling people they wont be able to do things ever again to cover their backs. Maybe if you give us a bit more detail about your problems some of the lads on here will be able to help more. There's some clever dudes on here with loads of knowledge that will hopefully help you out.

Anyway I wouldn't hang up my boots just yet if I was you.

Hey mate yeah sure. Basically i fell from the hand rail of a half pipe whilst riding along it to do a gap to wall. When i landed on the wall the drive side crank snapped, throwing all my weight down through my knee, pushing my foot vertical and left knee followed over the frame, pushing my leg out and away from my knee too. result was a double dislocation. Had 3 ops on right knee and 2 on left now. To remove fragments of bone in the first one and then to try and remove all the damaged cartalidge, which was most of it, and also repair some deep ligament damage (snapped acl.) Knees still not right now, constant pain and riding just isn't helping.

  5. Hey Guys,

Have been fighting a few long term injurys recently, in both knees from a double dislocation and an ankle problem. I've really fought to stay riding but having seen a surgeon yesterday, the news was not good. If i don't stop riding, i'm going to have ongoing even more serious problems in other joints and arthritic problems from 25 which won't be much fun! New bikes only 3 weeks old, about to go up for sale on here, so its time to quit riding, once and for all unfortunately!

Has anybody else had the same problems through injury?? And anybody else had to quit because of it?

    Cheers, Toby

  6. I absolutely love my Try-All 108.9 freewheel, I've been running it for over 2 years now and still feels as good as it did from day one. I've probably a few skips or slips in that time, but I'm talking a small handful here.

I was doubtful about it first because of it not being serviceable, but as said 2 years and it's sweet as a nut.

blew mine up in 6 weeks!

Personally i really like the tensiles, without stupid amounts of engagements they are solid, engage niceley and evenly and wear rates are good. Ive had a few and theyve always lasted ages, only just changed mine from nearly 8 months of riding. toby

  7. Granted your now good at giving head.

I wish i had more time to relax.

And will someone explain about "The drain?"

Granted: but to relax to have to have to lay down with a car parked on your leg

I wish i wasn#t so bored at work!

  8. I have to agree with muel.

Ive just had a disc mount welded to my Adamant A2 and, even though i prefer how the disc feels and works, the wheel flex is horrendous.

Unless i can sort out the flex then i don't think I'll be sticking to it for long.

So my opinion at the moment is go for maggies.

just out of interest mate, take it the wheels laced 3 cross yeah?

  9. I used to run disc to start (hope mono) but found the response to breaking slow

Really, ever tried a trial mono brake on the rear? set up right with the right pads theyre pretty powerful!

On a mod, disks are awsome! I prefer HS33's though, not as much chace of snagging the disk as there isn't one! plus hs33's have awsome power and modulation with the right pad types. I say HS33 all th way mate! Toby

  10. basically im looking to get a cloud9 bashring anodised, and wondering if anyone had had any previous dealings with certain companys up and down the country...and had any recommendations?

a quote from 'jackson plating ltd' was £52 as its their minimum charge, anyone used them?

ouch mate, near here we go round local metal fab shops, quite a few on industrial estates. Best off doinga ring round, and see if anybodys got a batch going on soon with your colour and haggle a deal, other than that eleflex on south coast can do it.

  11. Truvativ gigapipe. I've had mine for getting on a year and a half now, not failed my once! Get one from CRC.

Awsome bb's if you dont want to spend the world, should last a fair while to!
