  4. Im 18, 2nd year at college 5 days a week and work at Bookers Cash and Carry on weekends. 7 till 2 on Saturday and 9 till 1 on Sunday. It sucks getting up early on a weekend but the jobs good. I work on tills mainly, fairly laid back place to work, all staff are friendly etc.

I worked at Mcdonalds before that, and god it was shite.

  5. I worked in a bike shop whilst at school for nearly a year and it was to be frank, shite. I enjoyed it at first but as people have mentioned it becomes incredibly repetitive and most of the bikes you work on are cheap as f**k so they have soft bolts that round, crappy parts that dont fit together properly and are just awful to work on. Building bikes from boxes was what I seemed to do mostly and god it was boring. As a career choice Id really think if theres any other passions you have in life that, with further education, you can develop and use to make a good life for yourself.

  6. I left school with mainly As and Bs, and now im in my second year at college with not long left to go. Im doing BTEC media, Electronics and AS English, I did AS Applied ICT last year too, passed it then replaced it for English this year as it was really not what I enjoyed, and I wanted English to help with my media course.

I plan to go to uni to study applied media (broadcasting), as I eventually want to work in the film/TV industry as a cameraman.

I have a part time job too, and this makes me even more determined to get a good education as I would hate to be stuck in a job I hate for the rest of my life.

  7. Good video Casper, but it really doesnt do justice to your riding, you are so much better to watch in real life, and I know you do bigger stuff than that lol. You have a mint style, keep up the riding (Y) and get another video out soon.

That pretty much sums up Religion for me, they are living their lives based on a story written in scripture. I believe religion was just created to constrain the immoral and injust and give order to great numbers of people. Unfortunately, in light of all scientific evidence and proof over hundreds of years of how things on Earth and in the Universe came to be, there are still people like those that need to be brought back to reality. I mean ffs some of those posts are sick, its like they dont even care about the true point of their religion and some are twisting the bible to be perverse, such as the man talking about how God would allow a man to get sexual pleasure from somebody as young as a baby. It really annoys me how people can be so ignorant and set in their ways, I mean I have listened to what they have to say and I do believe that some Christians and other religious people have benefitted so much from having a faith, and fair play to them. But when people like these instantly condemn science and logic it just proves to me that they have been so twisted and distorted by their beliefs that they are in denial and ignorance of any kind of threat to what they see as right.

Anyone got any experinces with bioshock and gears of war?

I completed Bioshock on PC and I loved it. Probably the best game I have ever completed for PC, if not in general. I have Crysis, I love this game too. Both Bioshock and Crysis are very immersive. I think Need for Speed Most Wanted and Pro Street are pretty good, fun factor is nice. Team Fortress 2 is an amzing game, one of my all time favourite online games, so so so much fun, Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Timeshift and Hellgate London are all good too. Not amazing, just good. I also enjoyed Tomb Raider Anniversary a lot, good gameplay and levels. Portal and Half Life 2:Ep2 are really good. In fact the whole orange box from valve is really good. My favourite game at the moment is Unreal Tournamant 3 though, I cant get enough of the super fast gameplay and nice new graphics. A classic made better. As you can probably tell, when it comes to gaming Im a PC nerd. :)

  11. Although I dont play Wow, I do play online games and I think personally that is very shallow, selfish and wrong. I mean ffs why couldnt they just give the people who loved and respected him a few minutes to do what they wanted to to help them pay their respects instead of seeing the situation as funny and a chance to gain a few extra levels or whatever. Bet it was a bunch of silly little teenage fat nerds who felt cool for doing it.

  12. Ah man that really is terrible. I offer my condolences for all his friends and family, I just lost both my Nan and my grandma recently and it really is one of the worst feelings there is. Hope they get through it ok, they sound like genuine, nice people (Y).

    Luke.

  13. Basically, for a lot less money you can get a much better pc system.

    End of.

My cousin has just payed £800 for a mac desktop, and its crashed and been a pain already, and thats just running photoshop, nothing too demanding. I do like Apples design and some of their software is impressive, but I generally prefer PC's for customisation abilities. And PC's are much better for gaming, which is my primary use for my computer at home.

I would recommend building your own PC, its not that hard and you can save a shed load. Just do some research on good parts suited to what you want, and go to somewhere like dabs.com, overclockers uk or play.com and get yourself some components then build. (Y).

    Luke.

  14. That looks like a good deal to me mate, a really good deal. I payed £300 for mine and it only has an amd athlon 64 3800+ processor originally at 2ghz, that pc has an amd athlon 5000+ which clockes in at 2.6ghz, and mine only came with 1gb, that has 2gb standard. The graphics look ok too. AND you can get a decent monitor. Bargain.

    Hope that helps (Y)

  15. +1

    Same here :)

I love Vista, had it for ages, everything I have, all my games, peripherals etc installed fine first time. Its good for gaming too, XP doesnt have DX10. If you have a shitty graphics card and not a lot of ram, and a single core processor then Vista may be slower than XP but if you have the PC for it then it seems silly using XP to me. A lot of people will disagree, but Im going off my personal experience, and I use my computer a lot for gaming and video editing and general shit.

    Luke

  16. Theres no point though, i'd imagine it comes with vista 32bit which can only 3.2gb or something like that. Its just wasted ram.

Yeah it will be, I have the next model down from this PC (only diff was it came with an amd 3800 not 4000 processor) and Im pretty happy with it. I use mine for gaming and video editing so it wasnt good enough really when I bought it, Ive upgraded it with 2gb of ocz 800 mhz ram (runs faster than the standard 667mhz) and an nvidia 8500gt for the time being until I get my new computer. I have also overclocked the processor to 2.5ghz which was a pain because the bios was locked initially, but anyway its a good PC now, couldnt complain at all.

    Luke

  17. well i got it the other day.

seen many videos and stuff of it and gameplay looks waaay better than the more recent need for speed series (carbon, most wanted etc)

at least they got the physics tweaked and different driving simulations so for a recent NFS i think its pretty good.

longly waited but can't play it on my pc... bit of a bitch really, didn't think it was such a demanding game.

im getting lag in gameplay but settings have been altered from lowest to highest, still the same effect.. which i find strange.. i was hoping it was something to do with the direct x that i recently installed (9.0c) or maybe the catalyst driver im running (which i've updated to 7.11, then changed back to 6.14 when i found no improvement)

    any ideas?

    my system runs on:

    win xp pro 32bit

    amd athlon 64 3700+ @ 2.4ghz

    corsair ddr 1gb

    asus radeon x800xt pe agp

its not the most recent system but its a respectable spec, my brother can play it on his old prescott P4 2.8ghz/radeon 9800xt with mid-low settings.

come on forum gamers/geeks give me a hand.

    Steve

Well seems you meet all the minimum system requirements, tried updating driver for the card?

I would recommend upgrading your graphics card and if you can stretch to it another gig of ram to lower loading times. Shouldnt cost much, you can get something like a 7600gt for not a lot of money these days and it should run it ok. But as zeromatt says try changing around your drivers first and see if it makes a difference. But to be honest to run this game on decent settings you need a good pc, dual or quad core processor, high end nvidia 8 series or ATI card etc. I have an amd athlonx64 3800 dual core overclocked to 2.5ghz and an nvidia 8500gt with 2gb of ocz 800mhz ram and I dont hold out muchy hope in playing it.

However I am planning to build myself a mint gaming pc soon to run crysis, need for speed pro street and others on good settings so it should be all good :).

Lol and I agree with OnzaMike, many people are gonna think these new dx10 games are shit cos their pc cant handle it, you can see why console gaming is more popular.
