  1. Right basically im going to buy a Ipod Nano 8GB. i have found a guy selling them on ebay for Stupidly low prices. If you look HERE It has a starting bid of £29.99. Now i know its from hong kong, but i cant see anything that i wouldnt trust? can you? any help much appreciated! cheers.

  2. Great idea Craig! I agree with Partz. somewhere like addingham would be great, if it wasnt at addingham, somewhere in that sort of area as it makes it a reasonable distance for all, if it was at london, it would be a hell of a way for the lads from Aberdeen etc. I understand koxx days if further for a lot of people, but IMO it would be sensible to try to have it fairly central UK. Cheers

  3. nah its not my new king hub. its a long story that you guys probably wont understand but im building a new wheel for my motorbike using the new hub that came on the bike and a montesa rim which has a flange that the spokes go onto rather than going through the rim. this way you dont have to faff on sealing rim tapes etc. but... the rim is 36hole and the hub is 32. so i need to know how its done because like i say im sure it has been done before. if not it looks like im stuck with a gas gas rim :(

  4. Thanks for all the replys dudes. im busy ordering one from aspire now but i have one problem. paypal say that today (2/1/07) the exchange rate is 1 Pound Sterling = 1.89651 US Dollars. however google says 1 British pounds = 1.96100 U.S. dollars. this makes the price £6.11 more expensive. is this normal for paypal to try and make their little bit on the conversion rate or should i wait till tomorrow and see what its like? or am i being a tight b*****d and not willing to pay £6 odd more? lol cheers.

  5. OK. Basically im mad keen on getting a Chris King BMX hub for my zoo. Its a long story but my gran has recently given me my 16th birthday present. which for all of her grand kids, she puts £5 a month into a bank account from the day we are born, and that is given as our 16th birthday present. With the money i really fancy a chris king bmx hub because im far too daft to put it away and save it for later on in life. lol. I was just wanting peoples opinions on the bmx hub. is it basically a 20" version of the single speed hub? because my mates single speed one on his stock is beautiful. thanks for any opinions etc given.

  6. Good Good matey nice to hear people these days having the time to spray there bikes.

I don’t what to hear of people doing the same mistake as I did on my motor bike where is spent about 10 hours filling and sanding my panels then came around to paint there and the paint just pealed off due to me not wiping the panels down with paint thinners to remove all the grease and dirt.

After about a hour chatting to a professional car sprayer he informed me of orange peal and how it effects the finish to the paint.

The way he said to Eliminate the orange peal was to sand after every coat and on the final gloss coats was to colour sand (apply water when sanding).

For those that has never heard of colour sanding

Colour sanding is done for several reasons, and if done correctly, it can yield outstanding final results. The colour-sanding process smoothes out the minute waviness in the paint (known as orange peel) and removes minor imperfections in the paint and the clear coat (such as tiny particles of dust stuck in the clear coat). But the amount of sanding needed for colour sanding is far less than for sanding body filler or primer. Colour sanding requires the use of special, very fine, high-grit sandpaper that removes very small amounts of the surface material. Traditional body-sanding paper is in the 40- to 80-grit range, whereas colour-sanding paper is in the 1,200- to 2,000-grit range.

If you are still not sure about colour sanding here is a website that runs you thought the basic

    colour sanding

This is the order that i spayed my bike.

    1. Primer (Grey) 1Can. Spray 2 layers.

    2. Light sand with 1500 grit sand paper (wet&dry) between both coats

    3. Spray paint (Black) 2 cans spray 3-5 layers.

    4. Starts wet sanding it is best to take your time with this making sure that it is smooth

    5. Lacquer 4-6 layers. Apply each layer of lacquer while they are still tacky (every 15 minutes there about)

You will know when you get it right because when the lacquer has completely cured (dried for a few days and hardened) it should be smooth and shiny.

When I had completed my bike I looked back on how many hours I spent doing it all and it came to in the region of 60 hours

i hope i have help you to get a perfect finish you want (Y)

    Cheers

  7. Hi, basically im selling a gas gas on ebay and someone has said to me that they are very interested but confused because it looks exactly the same as a bike advertised elswhere. this is where im slightly worried, because i know that no one else could possibly have the bike up for sale etc and that i have only put it on ebay. He has put a link in his message <SCAM LINK REMOVED> but im scared to click the link incase its a virus or something :( do i just ignore the e-mail?? any help appreciated. thanks

  8. some people use grease etc on pistons but as a bike mechanic myself (mototbikes and pushbikes) i would only EVER use the type of brake fluid that the system uses to lubricate the pistons. as you can imagine, the brake is run on dot fluid because thats what the seals are made for, therefore some other lubricants can nacker the seals.

  9. the parents have plain and simply said no :( i suppose ive got a good excuse for getting them to take me places now (Y) plus when i think about it properly, the only times i really go far are when im goin out with the zoo or gas gas, which scooters arent really made to carry :P so basically, no scooter for me. But ill be getting driving lessons for my 17th birthday, just 1 year and 4 days untill im on the roads. hehe

  10. Right, on the 21st ill be 16, and im really wanting a mode of transport. The parents are not keen on me getting out on the roads on a scooter but i feel that if i come up with some figures they may be swayed (hopefully). So im looking for a few answers.

Scooter. ovbiously got to be 50cc, and restricted to 30mph or whatever it is but what is a good one? I know everything about bikes etc so i dont mint maintanence but dont want one falling to bits on me.

Ill need a road legal helmet etc i know.

    CBT training? How much?

    Insurence, again, how much?

i think thats it, but all details etc are much appreciated.

    Cheers (Y)
