  1. I've been riding trials for around 7 years, on and off. The same conversations are happening on here as when i first came on, it's extremely tedious answering the same questions over and over again. Plus all the young (might i add very cocky) riders invading this place acting big behind their computer screens... I only come on to check out what bikes are new on the scene and to have a general read of whats happening. To be honest, not alot happens in trials. It's mind numbing unless you're actually out on your bike having a laugh with your mates.

Hence the reason i hardly come on here.

    peace out,

  2. Yeah www.sidehop.co.uk it was Adam Wilsons website wasn't it? What a fricking rider he was.

Yeah, it was Adam Wilson's website. He lives about 10 minutes away from me, he's totally stopped riding now. Damn shame, he was a right mentalist!

  3. maybe not

this vid is amazing but there's not so much real trials move in it(I m not talking about tgs, but real trials)

and it's a shame because we know how good he is at trials riding

With all the vids I ve seen of akriggs...I can tell it looks that he s liking big bmx moves a lot more than trials moves now...

that's an awesome vid from an awesome riders but I m like danny...I love trials ;)

prefer riders likes fred grillet, lewis greenalgh, matt staples, felix mucke etc... streety but still trialsy (Y)

real trials moves? Akrigg is riding trials here...interesting trials with creativity and flare, this video is old as hell now and is still more original and fresh than every video posted on this forum in the past 2 years!

this sort of attitude is why trials is so mind numbingly boring 90% of the time nowadays...

  4. Best night ever. It was right, with someone i really loved, and it was well worth waiting for (Y)

If it ain't happened yet, don't think it has to happen before you get to x age. For me, i'm glad i waited until it was with someone special.

Lucky man! I wish i had waited.

Not sure if my first time counted, was only half way to being a boner and ended up "thumbing it in", not pretty. All the time not considering what this girl was thinking, all in all a bloody nightmare....

Then she spread a vicious rumour that i forced her into it, gutting...

Anyway, now i'm ace at sex so it's ok.

  5. Hi there guys, just started riding again and thought i'd invest in a new shiny bike, my mate offered me this for really cheap so i snapped it up!

    Zoo python

    Echo forks

    Chris king headset

    Zoo bar and stem

    Rear profile + front xc

Unsure on the rims (forgot to ask)

Rear maggy + front 6-pot hope

    Maxxis tyres

    Echo cranks, bash and cog

    DMR V8's i think

Everything is brand spanking, even though it's second hand. I've put the first scratches on the cranks today!

    Gonna put this booster on as soon as i can get my other bike from my mate's house;

  6. yes

"hasta la vista, face" *pulls brake*

Haha, it does work rather well. My mate has a hope mono on his xc bike and was interested in swapping it for my 6-pot, worth it or not?

Well, i paid pennies for a nearly brand new bike with it on so i'm not complaining! It looks good though on a 20" front wheel, all big and macho.

So what about having a silent but powerfull rear brake? Possible?

  7. Hi guys,

Just bought myself a new bike (changed from stock to mod). I've always ran a smooth rim with koxx bloxx and kept my rim as clean as possible, i've never had problems with braking power and this suits me as i can't stand loud brakes. However, the bike i bought had a very light grind on the rim and is rather noisy, it also has a hope 6-pot with a 205mm rotor up front(i know, a bit overboard), i'm more than impressed with it after running a front V for years!

I'm playing with the idea of running a rear disc.

Is this possible with a profile?

I'm aware that there may be a bit of play as instead of stopping the rim you stop the hub, has this caused anyone problems?

Am i being silly and should just re-grind the rim giving me more of a swishy sound? Any other ways of keeping noise to a minimum or am i being girly? Haha!

cheers guys, any input will be greatly appreciated,

    oliver

  8. Leeds Festival...the feeling of getting there on the first day, having your tent set up and drinking your first beer while the sun is shining is immense! Watching more bands than you can even reel off in one sentence...

Playing my first ever gig where people were just staring at me and listening, then inbetween songs talking to them and making them laugh...

if you want to listen for yourself,

  9. I've played guitar and sang for about 4 years now, write my own songs and stuff.

Been gigging alot recently, playing my own songs acoustically so decided to put a band together and gig with them.

You can listen to some of my songs here

if you can be bothered to listen, let me know what you think!

  10. Hi guys,

i've just started riding again after about a year and a half out! Luckily i didn't sell my steed, i knew i'd want to ride it again one day!

Just before i stopped riding i decided to buy some tensiles as at the time everyone had them, so i guessed they must be pretty good! I bought the uci bash and a screw on cog awell.

Anyway, to my point, riding around the other day and the threads that hold my cog on decide to strip!!!

Since coming back on the forum i've realised nobody uses them anymore??? What happened to tensile cranks???

Do they do any sort of manufacturers fault warrenty?

  11. Its your welding skills i'd worry about!

i would only recommend if you are a good welder as it could weaken the frame plus you want the brake mounts to be firmly in place lol

haha, i can weld, there won't be a problem there.

Would the chainstays be weirdly long???

I might just make an adjuster bracket with a built in booster type arrangement...hmmmm....

weird topic to bring it up in but check out the booster i made,

    gallery_478_259_4638.jpg

Sooo, has anyone done it apart from the guy mentioned earlier???

    oliver

  12. Hi guys,

i've got a revell and was wandering what it would ride like if i welded some new brake mounts on it so it would take a 24" wheel? Would it ride like a shed?

How different is the geometry between 24" frames and 26" ones?

If anyone has any idea or has done it, let me know!

    oliver

  13. I'll be honest, i think your reaction to this guy asking you to move on was a little immature.

I can see his point with him not wanting you to ride there, from what i heard you were outside his shop and at the end of the day he's only trying to run a business.

Apart from that he was a bit of a twat, there was no reason for him to start kicking off pushing people, he should have just rang the police. Not just a twat, a stupid twat, why did he think he could start pushing a gang of lads around???

  14. why want to use anything!?! just pedal and it was tighten round

    JK

Rang my local bike shop and they said i would need to use a lockring, i didn't think you would have to be they seemed to think it was neccesary.
