  1. The barrell adjuster on the ultimate lever doesn't screw in. Pretty sure you will need the avid part I'm afraid

Aww shame, thanks for the info though, i think ill source a cheaper leaver :)

Fairly sure the Ultimate lever's barrel adjuster doesn't thread into the lever body?

Think u are backed up by Ben above, so thanks mate :)

  2. Hi all

I have an ultimate lever but missing the adjuster, does anyone know if any of these would do the job?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cycle-Bike-Brake-Lever-Cable-Barrel-Adjusters-Pair-ALL-SIZES-/180761185029?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&var=&hash=item6fc4f949a5

Im unsure on the size, M6, 7, 8 or 10. Or is it a special one for the avid?

I know you can buy the genuine spare from select places online, but it comes as part of a kit called, Ultimate Lever Hardware kit or something and it's £35....

    Thanks in advance!

  3. That's because the axle is attached to the cranks!

I don't completely understand them myself but they seem to work great!

You'll need new cranks if you want to use this type of bottom bracket go with some Shimano or Truvativ ones.

    Thanks for the info guys.

So the cranks are simply push fit still but no bolts? how do they stay tight?

  4. Russia owns UK as per usual on the TGS front once again.

    ohhh no u didnt! ;)

haha but seriously, this guy is defo one of my fave tgs riders, although he used to mix it up a lot more than he has in this video. but still brill vid! (Y)

  5. couldnt watch that for longer than about 3 seconds in any part of the video. Too shakey imo. As said before, try not to look around so much if your using a helmet cam. Also even without the shake i think the cam is pointed up too much, its not capturing what your actually doing very well. Can it be tilted down at all?

  6. A longer BB will sort it out for you (the shell width will be the same, which is the bit that fits the frame and is most often 68mm)

A 128mm axle will cover almost every setup (Y)

    Longer BB needed, that one looks like a 113 or 118, you'll need 122.5 or 127.5 :)

    Just get a 128mm bb, sorted. :)

Although I preferred to run the shortest BB possible when I rode, because my feet were closer together. Dunno why, just felt more comfortable.

    Thanks, thanks and thanks :)

Adam you will be recieving an order come pay day :) hehe.

    Cheers guys.

  7. Hi all

Basically i have an old Koxx LB frame and have used a standard 22t Middleburn bash and crank setup for years, however after moving to a Heatsink bash with 18t chainring, after tightning the crank bolt pushing the crankset onto the bb fully, it rubs on the outer ring of the Bottom Bracket. See Below:

Im not sure what BB i have but it is like my frame pretty old. Here is a close up of the BB axel and the crankset itself:

Im guessing its the BB at fault but what width would i need for this setup to work?

    Thanks in advance guys!

  8. I swear by echo TR's on the rear and i give them a beating, tough rims! Plus again im another D521 fan, currently have one on the front, which used to be on the rear when i had a zebdi many years ago, so its probably a good 6 - 7 years old and still true!!! The D521's a bomb proof!! :) Only reason why i dont use one on the rear is that there not wide enough for my liking.

    Danny

  9. As title says really.

Ive always had 22t front chain ring on my burns and 18t rear sprocket.

Ive recently bought an 18t front bash n ring for my 170mm burns. What size sprocket should i go for, 15 or 16 im guessing. What seems to be most popular. I ride street and am used to my quite heavy old Koxx LB 1040.

    Opinions guys?

    Cheers

  13. I honestly thought thought that was SUCH a good video, ruined by waaaaaaaaaay too much fisheye. The shot angles (the opening shot was awesome!), quality of footage, editing, etc were all perfect, but it was just "oh, theres another distorted wide shot. Oh theres another one. And another. And another..... etc"

Apart from that was sick. Do you ride with Brett Penfold much? Really similar style between the two of you :)

    Rich

Thanks for the comments mate, and glad u liked it.

Well as it was my first video really and also Bens first time filming a trials video i think the next video should be alot better. Both were quite new to it. Have a few ideas for how we want to film the next one so hopefully it will be more to peoples liking. Am still happy with the end result of this one though. But thanks mate :)

Never herd of Brett mate, where is he from?
