  1. I don't see how the programme can loose the contacts, as they are not stored on your pc are they? It's remotely stored, otherwise they wouldn't appear when you sign in on other pc's...

Hmm still makes me think i should swap back to 7.5 though

On second thoughts I will just save the contacts list in case, then can simply import them if it goes tits up

  2. it's DENT not dent

    /rant

Why the need for the rant, the fact it can be dent or DENT just makes you look sillier for ranting!!

    http://www.answers.com/dent&r=67

In future less of the pointless posts yeah!

    On topic:

Just let the downtube get damaged, hose won't really do enough to protect against proper dents as said. something more solid does more good.

All protection looks a bit naff though. Perhaps jsut try to be more confident and also not go trying rails etc before you can do low ones etc.... if that makes sence

  3. Just ridden a road bike for the first time today, it definately isn't as easy as you might wish to think, however is undoubably faster than an xc bike and more comfortablle to ride whilst actually going for it (if that makes sence).

Very different to the feel of other bikes, but should be easy enough to get used to.

If its a bike for riding on the road a road bike really would make sence imo. Can't comment on what to buy though, other than the fact I was riding a carrera Valour (bough 2nd hand from georgy boy) and it seemed pretty decent for a person starting out, with decent set up for its £350 rrp.

Go cannondale for the win with £1K though shurely?

  4. Erm surely if there is a light on the MOBO still there must be power to it, suggesting the PSU hasn't compleately died, i recon anyway.

It could be that one of the bits of hardware that you do have installed is playing up. though normally if this is the case it won't get past the bios......

hmm I had a shite old modem card in mine once, was stopping the whole damn pc working.....

Can't really help to much sorry, just don't think the psu is the obvious issue, Something else is causing the death, even if the psu is dead its likely that something else killed it :)

  5. Not sure what you guys are moaning about, the recoil has always been terrible on pretty much all the autos/semi autos even on the original dod.

I like te fact there is the option to single shot with the bar now, so you don't get carried away and suffer the recoil as much.

My inly gripe is it seems slightly more pedestrian and the axis rifle is no longer insta death from what i found.

The gfx are nice improve, makes environments seem more real, less people half in walls etc, pretty trees, walls landscapes etc.

Was suprised it worked with my old gfx card to be honest. though of course would be better if all settings were on etc.

edit: oh yeah every thing on the hud looks a bit 'noddy now' like its for kids, also things seem to bright, no longer do i squint to see people in windows etc.

  6. I've pre loaded it, but somehow doubt that it's gonna actually work on my pc. The gfx card is likely to try and die on me to be honest.

Might just have to carry on with the origional version for now.... (tottski)

  7. QUOTE(deanie-b @ Jun 30 2006, 09:15 PM)
    Bid retraction form .

Can I just add , it costs a minimum of 35 pence to list an item . :)

15p is what i paid for most of my most recent auctions.

Don't know where you got 35p from? can be done for even less on certain days or if you use buy it now auctions.

Kris, don't think its anything like £7 for a reserve of £50......

    get your facts right lads.

  8. that red rod that your all going on about is just an allen key that is used to adjust the tpa, its the one thats coming on new rockshox forks to adjust the floodgate i think, as sram rockshox avid are all the same.........

correct, if you read the singletrack stuff, it makes it clear that its just an allen key thingy, so the 'tpa' is not obtrusive at all, its flush, provided you have an allen key handy :P

  9. Sometimes it won't let you save things as the actual video file, instead it will make you try to save the http addy. If this is the case normally it simply means you need to click it normally and the 'save as' box will pop up.

  10. Your wrong there Tom. they do have a contact phone number.

they still tell you to use the RMA form though. But if your mega irate you can still talk to real people, I only had to ait about 15 seconds to get answered too.

Had the wrong spec mobo sent to me as part of a bigger order, got it turned around within about 4 working days, which int the end of the world.

Single item orders are unlikely to go wrong anyway.

This order of mine was the first error in about 5 multiple item orders.

  11. Olly I have been wearing focus daily disposables for a fair while now, don't wear them that regualy at the moment as im not playing much sport/riding. However i have found that i can put them in when i wake up then leave em till bed time. Which is often like 15/16 hours i recon, it just takes a few weeks for the eyes to get used to them that all.

(as i was told 6/8 hours max when i started)

I have fallen alseep in the before and when i woke up my eyes were stuck togeather a bit like hayfwever when its bad, also the lenses were stuck to my eyes and I had to wet them to get them to come off, so no idea how your boss can keep them in for a month!

Any way get contacts, they are worth it. If your getting disposables you can always stop ordering them if you decide they aren't for you etc.

  12. To be fair, your right. Its not actually the 6x9's that are the problem, its the situ.

The parcel shelf of a car IS NOT, no matter how you look at it the place for a pair of speakers. It rattles, its not sealed etc

But one speaker trying to do 3 things isnt good either.......

Although if the parcel shelf is a custom one, maybe made from some decent ply wood (less saggy than mdf, is a nice snug fit on the guides and doesn't rattle. You might find that for people who don't want a sub/amp etc it is the ideal was of creating the decent amount of mid and low range frequencies whihc are needed to have enjoyable music sounds coming out of your stereo.

No ones gonna go claiming they are like the answer to audiophilles problems, but for the average Jo they are actually more ideal than the alternatives.

I know that in my old car (wehn i had 6*9) the sound was immmensley crisp and clear. You got to consider the situation is different in all cars, things like the angle of the window will make a difference on how the sound reaches you etc.

Any way, you just bought a convertable! hardly the ideal car for a decent audio set up! although i do actualy like the MX-5 and don't consider you a hairdresser for it.

Extreme Biker - as said just cut and strip the wires from the old speakers for now, you can buy the little connectors which you can crimp on from most car shops/b&q etc that will do for now so that you can unconnect the speakers if you need to take the shelf out.

  13. Recorded delivery, that way they have to sign for the parcel and you can check at your local post office if it has reached them. (Y)

    Cheers !

    Good call,

Of course they can calim someone else signed for it and they still never saw it.

Would be bettr t jsut deal with someone else, I'm sure whatever it is your selling would be wanted by a reputable buyer too.
