  1. Hi everyone...

Right here goes, I'v got back into trials after buying a mission prodigy ( the one with the stupidly big headset ) for 15 quid off a mate it came with brand new forks, maggies which were in bits, and dmr v12 pedals.

The problem is the frame is mint apart from a snapped chain stray so it wont last forever but its wayyy too short for me being 6'3" right getting to the point...

Is there a longer frame out there that I can pretty much swap all the parts from my mission then upgrade the other parts when i have the cash

    tarrrr, Dave (Y) (Y)

  2. Hey guys and galls

My mates after a new bike because his mission has sir come to an untimely demise.

    So....

If you could just fill out this poll and put his mind at rest

Also he has been led to belive that montys are built like cheese.

So any comments on either bike will be very helpfull

    Cheers everyone ;)

  3. Twisting the red nob clockwize moves the pads out ( towards the rotor), twisting it anti clockwize move the pads away from the rotor.

    :)

It sure does, but I Already know that! (Y)

    Dave...

Does anyone know how to straighten the pad up, its like that "\" when it should be like that "l"

But its only the outer one

  4. Hey, got my disk the other day "avid bb7" 185mm

Just got it mounted and one of the pads starts rubbing when i look down the pad on the outer side of the forks is very slightly leaning towards the disk, and when i ride all i can hear is the brake rubbing on the disk

    any suggestions ??

    Dave...

  5. Hey mate welcome, As i've said before...

    "Few tips...

    1. Find someone good that lives in your area (or near you) and ride with them, you will find it easier to learn!

    2. Ride everyday.

    3. Practice, Practice, Practice

And most of all, Have Fun..."

  6. do you know why??????

    hahahahaha i do................

also im intrigued about this topic its very well put, and i respect that people and lads in the new members in particular weather there 10 or 30 are getting into wearing helmets!!!!!i totally support people wanting to wear them, the people that dont wear them unfortunatly i have no respect for as they are putting themselves at danger but most of all their friends around them who have to maybe help them t the enarest hospital and such forth when really as part of trials and things to wear, a helmet is more important than your bike nearly!!!!!!in my opinion anyway.id rather see a 6 year old kid running around the garden in a helmet than trying to do wheelies and such forth without a helmet on.............

    Waynio..........................

i got my cousin who is only 7 to wear a helmet when he got his 1st bike @ 2 years old!!!!!hes worn one ever since.

    Yeah everyone!

To see a helmet in bits, or with cracks just make your think... Damn! That could have been my head <_<

  7. errrrrrrrrrrrr

well its like buying a £1k settee and a £4k settee do you think there both as comfortable??????and quality and such forth????

Giro have a bench mark of quality and looks/style. i have ridden Giro helmets for 4 years of the near 5 iv been riding and wouldnt swop to any other helmet, once you have had an E2 or a Xen you will know why the more you spend the better it is kinda thing, like your havoc if you had of spent say £20 more on an Animas you would have had the comfort of the Roc Loc 4 technology and the comfort on those are awesum!!!! you have got the roc loc 2 i think in the havoc which is a slightly harder plastic around the ears and back of your head.

the other factor is the looks. comfort is the key though buddy.

    Waynio............................

PS do you think the post above mine ^^^^^ that giro or any other helmet manufacturer would ever make a helmet unsafe???? there is BS which is british standards and ALL products have to be made to this. helmets obviously are a key its just that the impact of a crash is more sustainable is more expensive helmets.so they take more knocks and bumps due to the "in mould technology" cheaper helmets have it BUT not around the back of the head area, but all helmets offer as much protection as possible just the more you pay the more protections and other things you get. a bit like getting air con in your car instead of a sun roof...........its just more up market. or electric windows and mirrors instwead of wind up ones.

I'm not saying that there unsafe! all I was trying to say that a helmet that fits your head better would, in my oppinion be safer then say a cheep-o one

    Dave

Don't know why I didn't just say that though

  8. With Cheaper helmets you have more chance of damaging your head, through the design, compound, ware rate etc...

I would say go for a helmet above the £40 range anything below that will probably brake up after one fall or and render it dangerous <_<

  9. how long did u take u 2 learn how 2 wheelie hop cos have bin ridin since july n i really wanna learn but how long dose it take! ^_^ <_< cheers .. nick ...

You mean riding up to an object, then doing a wheelie-hop and landing on back, or two wheels.?

If yes then about three weeks, its just getting the height more than anything. Now i'm doing like 35"- 40" walls and ledges.

    Dave...

By the way, Try not to type in text Speak It won't do you any favors
