  1. It will fit wont it .T-birds come with a ronnie rim on back :S .I run a ronnie rim with tryall`s.Just give it some pasty or get metal tyre levers or nic the knives out of the kichen like i do. ;)

I heard somewhere that you can buy a 20" ronnie, which I think is standard on a t-bird, am I correct?

  2. Tensile - ACS

    1. More engagement points
    2. Lockring is reverse threaded - to stoo it working itself loose
    3. Will probably last longer
    4. Easier removal
    Tensile - ENO

    1. Much cheaper
    2. Easier removal
    ENO - ACS

    1. Doesn't loosen itself
    2. Double the amount of engagements
    3. Sealed bearings
    4. Easier to service
    5. Nice 'solid' feel

That's about all I can think of...

    Cool, thanks mate! (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)

  3. Ok, I am going to order an Avid BB7 soon, and I have heard that they come without a lever and cable?!?!

So I have looked at levers and narrowed it down to 3, just wondering who thinks what is best? Or are there any other levers that I could consider?

Also, I will need a new cable for it too, are there some better cables than others, or are they all roughly the same?

    Thanks,

    Sam :)

  4. Thanks, that helps! :)

If they don't come with a lever, which lever would be best for me to buy?

I just looked on CRC and they only do a 203mm for the front, so I can't get it from there.

Also, does that mean that the BB7 doesn't come with cable or pads either?

    Thanks,

    Sam (Y)

  5. I need a new disk brake for my Monty. This is because I broke my old Magura Louise, and would much prefer a disk to maggie. I have about £70 to spend, and at the moment, I am thinking about going for the Avid BB7 185mm. Just a few questions though. >>>

Is this the best brake for the money?

Where can I buy this cheapest? (Cheapest I found, is £71.99 from Wiggle)

I don't think it will be, but will the 185mm be too powerful for my Monty 221 X-Lite forks?

What colour is the standard lever that comes with the BB7?

    Thanks a lot,

    Sam (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)

  6. So how do i change the colour of a frame for instance?

Using ImageReady, it's basically the same as Photoshop,

So, here's how I would change the colour using ImageReady:

    1. Open the Image that you want to edit.

    2. Click on the 'Lasso' tool (Personally, I find the 'polygonal lasso' tool is much better) then, using that, surround the area that you want coloured - You have to stay as close to the lines as possible. :)

    3. Click on Image > Adjustments > Variations.

    4. Choose the colour you want to change it to.

    5. Click OK.

    Hope I Helped,

    Sam (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)

Here's me mates b.t that i have cartooned..what do you all think??

    zoo

It's ok, but if you have Kodak Easyshare (Like Me) You can just click a button and it automatically makes it into 'cartoon'. Nice try though. :)

i dont have photo shop but i've got image ready can you change the colour on that

Yeah, you can mate, I just tried it and it worked fine for me..... (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)

    That's a pretty cool pic...

But instead of sending pics through his msn, just post them up here and more people can have a go. (Like Me  )

  9. how you do that? I got photo shop a few weeks bak and jus gettin to grips with it,but havin trouble changing the colours eg.....changing just the frame a different colour and keeping decals

    Basically:

    1. Use the Lasso tool (I find the polygonal one best) to outline the frame - u must stay as close to the lines as possible.

    2. Got to 'Image' > 'Adjustments' > 'Variations'

    3. Choose the colour by clicking on all the different selections to get it jus right.

    4. Click 'OK'

That's how I do it and it's fine (It leaves the decals out anyway :) )

    Hope I Helped,

    Sam (Y)(Y)(Y)

  10. Ok i had this problem not to long ago, what u do is put the hose in the vice with the open end pointing out a little bit then get the piston with the barbed bolt in and hammer it in, use some wd40 aswell helps loads.

hopfully that makes some sence :).

Oh right Ok, I will try that first... then if it doesn't work I will take it to my LBS.

    Thanks,

    Sam

  11. Right I got my new HS33 last week, and then a few minutes ago I looked at it and realised that (although I have a brake

booster) my frame was still flexing. :S Has anyone else ever had this happen to them before??? What shall I do? Will I

need a new (or another) brake booster?

Also, how do I fix my other HS33 - my old one? [pic below]

sorry about the size of the pic :o I don't have a clue why it has come up soooo big???

    IPB Image

I need to join the hose...

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    Sam
