no it not too bad actualy mate i have a mate who did it and he has a more stiffer and responsive brake than he had to start with, just saying what i wud do but hey you are a different man and its your frame
Dude it's pretty extreme to fix a thread by drilling a hole in a frame, not just in the top of the tube, but out the other side too, especially on a part of the seat tube that takes so much pressure from the outward pushing of a Magura.
-
drill all the way throught the frame and just put a nut and bolt on it
Woah now! Lets not get hasty!
-
lol
of course not
No, really. That would suck.
-
Of course.
Sweet.

Ew. Generic.

MBP all the way! There's nothing better than LED backlit 15.4" screens. And best of all they're alluminium.
Don't get a MBP yet though, or a MB, both are in line for an update (the MBP will get a whole new design to match the current style of Apple, eg. keyboards and thickness, and the MB is in line for a processor upgrade). So yeah, I have a MBP, and wouldn't get a plastic MB now I have this. My friend has a MB and the plastic cracked off where his palm was, not to mention how dirty it gets.
So yeah, whatever you get, wait 3 weeks or so as they'll be updated.

Thats why the have the tech line mateeeeeeeeeeeeee
I'm pretty sure it's a tech line in the hope you'll buy something.
-
as you pedal in one direction or another, it would unscrew itself
Well yeah, it would unscrew if you pedalled backwards, but unless you're a clown who works at a circus, I don't think you'd encounter that problem.
EDIT
Unless, as I've just been informed, you slowed down and forgot it wouldn't coast. You'd fall off, but also the sprocket would come undone.

Best UK all-round bicycle rider: Nick Wood. He rides so fast.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. He's pretty underground though.

Sorry, I don't understand what the obvious reasons are?

"Hi what BB size do I need for my T-Pro?"
"68 - 127, what's your credit card number?"
"Oh no, I don't want to buy it from you, bye"
-
Here's mine. I'm pretty big in the RC world, I'm sure you've all seen me race on BBC when they showed the winter olympics?
As you can tell from the picture, its really fast because its a Mitsubishi Evo AND it's red. Everyone knows red cars are faster.
Heres the spec for all you tech-heads
Full function radio control (forward, reverse, left, right and stop).
Working front and rear lights.
Impact resistant front and rear bumpers.
Realistic racing rubber tyres.
Full racing rally decals.
Size 18.5 x 7cm.

Okayy well my BB's been dead for ages and i just got a replacement.
I didnt know the size but this is apparently the BB from a mission/t bird.
How good the BB is doesn't really bother me as i will buy a better one soon.
All i want to know is will this fit my T-Pro?
http://www.bike24.com/p2835.html
Cheers the BB itself looks ok but whether the Tapers are long enough is what I'm worried about and i don't want to take out my BB to find it doesn't fit.
Cheers, Ash.
Yeah that will fit depending on what shell size/axle length you want. Theres a BB length thread in the FAQ.

screw in cog on fixed wheel bike = almost certain death
I don't understand. I have a track bike, which, as is standard, has a fixed screw on sprocket held in place with a lockring, reverse threaded. For reference, here it is.
Wrong about what. You can't just say that without offering some kind of insight into what is wrong, perhaps even helping the poster/me by telling me what you know that I don't.

Been clay shooting since I was 13(now 29)
Dad is a CPSA coach.
Dude, that's not watersports, unless you count doing it when it's raining or something.

When I saw this title, I thought of YouPorn, not Alan Partridge.

The UK has girls too you know. Going to Brazil because of one girl who is in a photo near a bike is pretty extreme...

back up your argument please.
Matx
He probably means what every one else has said, no lines. It is a bit boring because it's just the same stuff over and over again.

I was genuinely impressed by how far he gaps, only thing is there's not a lot of variation, all that video was gaps and sidehopping over a pole, which is cool if that's what you like, but in video's I like to see people riding lines, maybe getting up some of those walls before he gaped to another or something, that video just makes it look as if all he can do is backhop with big pedalstrokes.
Good gaps though.

Smaller the sprocket, the better the engagement. And as Jon says, because you need chainring bolts, and they can only fit on a certain size, which limits them to 20t.
Screw-on sprockets have been around since the beginning. They are still used in track racing where there is a fixed engagement throughout (no freewheel at all).

I like the title; 'Pre Summer Video', like there's only two seasons and Spring and Winter don't come before Summer, pre-summer and post-summer instead are all that exist. But then if there was only that, when would post-summer end and pre-summer begin? And then if there was just, say, post-summer, then it would just go on again, and Summer would never happen.

I tell you what, when in a medical emergency, or potential one, the thing NOT to do is sit there and go on a f**king forum of people that on the whole, don't have a clue about what to do...
May i refer you to my signature....
TF is not the mecca of medical advice indeed.
All I'm gonna say is don't go near a naked flame incase your eye explodes.

Cos it was cool and I wanted to be cool too. Probably.
