  1. Hi

There is alot headsets out there and alot of good ones for very cheap money and for a lot of money.

If you dont want to spend that much money I would go for an Fsa pig headset the are superb if you have a little more money I would go for something like a Hope XC headset these are super smooth and last for ever. If you want top of the range go for a Chris King these are meant to be excellent and I have never heard of any problems with them when fitted.

If you buy a more expensive headset I would recommend you get it fitted by the local bike shop it will save you alot of hassle.

  3. your mongosse has different geometry to your trials

the trials will have a lower fork so it will take more to get it up

try fitting a different stem with more rise it will make it easier

if you can ratchet, when you pull up give a kick on the pedals to boost you up..

What do you mean by ratchet???

I will get a cheap stem from work with a big rise and see weather it helps.

    Thanks

  4. Hi

I have a Giant Team Trial Bike and i just can't bunnyhop it high I don't know why though because I have a Mongoose Thunderball jump bike which I can bunnyhop a couple of feet I can also do the same on my friends Onza T-vee.

The problem is that I pull the front wheel up on the giant then try get the back up and the front dips back down and this happens on something as high as a kerb.

I was just wondering weather any of you knew what I was doing wrong or what mite be wrong with the bike. So I wrote a list of the components that I thought mite be relevant.

Hope Stem 90mm 10 degree rise

Azonic double walled 2.5 inch rise

    165 middleburn cranks

Onza tuf guy forks (Uncut steering tube)

The other problem I was thinking even though I do not know the geometry of the giant compared to the other bikes. I though that maybe the wheelbase was longer.

If getting some pictures or video footage of me doing this then I can, if i mite help someone tell me what's wrong.

    Thanks

  6. yeah the reason i wanted to know how old you are is you said you have ridden for 2 years and a bit, you wasent very good for the time you had ridden BUT because you are young and started young it changes everything, you are good for your age (Y) , i thought that in your next video you should get the camera person to stand a bit further back because your head got chopped off in a lot of the clips (N) .

the music was ok. the editing was standard, but we only expect amzing editing from pro editers.

    !!

over all its a cool vid i liked it! keep up the good work!

    ben (Y)

(hope that comes across how i wanted it to,positive)

Yerr it did come over positive.

As for the riding of 2 years I start roughly 2 years ago and stop and start. And was riding in between dirt jumping and cross country and bmxing. Then at Christmas 2005-2006 I got a 26" wheeled bike and haven't got off it. When I got the bike I could only just backhop. Hope that clears up why I am not that good even though I have been riding for 2 years.

  7. Hi

My dads a photographer for a living. Even though he doesn't take pictures of trials riding etc. He does weddings and studio work ect. He is always very stressed from work running his own business and never recommends it to me for doing it as a living. Even though he is doing wedding and studio work I would of thought it would be harder to trials riding because there is alot of people who would like to do that as a job including me so unless you know every pro/sponsored rider in england and could take pictures of one 5 days a week including in the winter when the weather is crap and back up all the files and still have good pictures go for it.

There is also the job of getting all the equiptment for the pictures which isn't cheap.

P.s Vist my dads website and tell us what you think Link

  10. Hi

    Little but Lots (Y)(Y)(Y)

    Lots but little (N)(N)(N)

Let me now put this into english for you it is a lot better to put tar on your rims every hour and put a little bit on than, putting heaps of the stuff on but the only doing a few times a week.

There are several reasons for this but the main one is if you put alot of tar on your rims the brake pads will stay stuck to your rims and not release the brakes.

    Hope this helps
