  1. I've found that you have to reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to quit more than anything. No bullshit 'i'll just have one more' or switching to menthols/rollies. That didn't work for me, I smoke a pouch of golden virginia a day with menthol filters now! Patches did work for me, but you still have to have a bit of willpower of course. Always have something to keep your hands busy aswell, I don't know about anybody else, but its the process you miss as much as the nicotine when you do stop - the whole pulling em out of your pocket, getting one out the pack/rolling one, lighting it, flicking it/putting it in the ashtray etc. Avoid drinking aswell! I hear those Nicorette inhaler thingys are quite good too:)

  2. To be honest, assuming you know nothing about guitars and whatnot seeing as you're a beginner, as long as your guitar is setup ok, you won't be able to tell much difference between a £99 and a £9,000 guitar. You just need something that tunes up and has 6 strings at this stage :) I was in that Dolphin shop in Liverpool a few days ago, just across from Dawsons? They've got quite a few acoustics in there. I'd say your best bet is to go in and play the guitars you like and are in your price range and pick whichever one feels more comfortable.

    FIXED, sorry!

  3. I'm not a fan of any of the burgers from Maccy's. No matter what, no burger in the world will beat one from a nasty greasy burger van. I'll just stick to 20 nugs and fries ;)

  4. What generation is the Imac? I don't think it should matter but I know I once had the problem on my old ibook and they had a method of ejecting the disk manually.

Yeh, I've been noseying on some forums, its the newest one, it doesn't have the little button you press with a paperclip or what have you. The disc is recognised, and tries ejecting it, but it just makes the noises and doesn't spit the disc out.

  5. Little problem - i'm on my girlfriends I-Mac, and the Kings of Leon CD is stuck in the drive! It won't come out at all. I'm not too mac-literate, so any help, even if you think I've probably already done it, would be much appreciated!

  6. I've never been a fan of Metallica really, but I gave Death Magnetic a listen and was quite impressed, fantastic return. It's about time really, I think most people would agree that St. Anger was a complete crock of shite!

  7. I'd rather carry an easel, canvas and set of acrylic paints containing every colour known to man about with me, and just paint all the awesome stuff I see than use the camera in a phone. I wish somebody would make a good phone without a piece of shit camera in them >_<

  8. It's not a bad idea really. I'd aim away from offical world records and just have a 'go big or go home' day. Where you could try get as many top riders as possible and see who can go the biggest.

It'd be relativly easy to set up too. Just a load of crates, something to keep them from sliding about in the floor and a couple of poles and tape for the high jump.

I like that idea. Perhaps build a nice street-y course, have prizes for 'most inventive line' and biggest drop-gap, biggest side-hop etc. If enough riders who'd be good enough show enough interest, I thought maybe the organiser could get in touch with some big/big-ish mountain biking film makers, maybe the prize for one of the contests could be a section in a video or something?
