Rotor Sizes

I've read quite often that a 160mm rotor is best for a mod bike.

But surely, if you're not worried about weight, then a 180, 185 or 203mm rotor would be able to hold the wheel still with more ease?

If school has taught me anything about turning forces, it's that if you get further away from the axle, your overall force doesn't need to be as large?

Just wondering. I also quite like the look of the whole oversized dual disc setup on a mod...
