  1. ...If it`s good enough for TRA, it`s most definately good enough for me.
  2. Trialtech says 17g on their website
  3. Had no problems with this. I mostly, as you can se in the first post, ran a single halflink on a regular chain. This should be no worries IF you set it up properly. Always use new pins for the chain et.c. The brake lined up just fine with this setup. Later I went for a full length chain with the same 18/15 ratio. No problems. tension and brakes were just fine. On this setup I used Echo TR clamps. Anyway... The frame is gone now.
  4. I found a set of Viz large cams, and they work just fine. My frame came with rockman tensioners. Problem was that at correct tension, the largest hole alligned with the bolt that sits in the frame. This caused the cam to deform under pedal tension. Echo makes steel cams, which might also be a good solution.
  5. Sweet! Definately gonna be a sweet build! Keep us posted!
  6. Same kit, different frame: Here!
  7. Yup! But it`s closer to a Maxxis 2.5. I run the same one on my DH bike. Wicked Will might be another tire to try out...
  8. Actually, Schwalbe now states 870g, but on the 2008 / 2009 boxes I have in the shop, it says 850g. This is the folding Freeride version of the tire. Linky The last one I had I weighed when it was worn and cut as I like, and my ParkTool DS-1 scale said 730g. Again, I do recommend this tire.
  9. ...and a Reset BB is on its way! I think this one will go below 9 Kg.
  10. Thanks! New front tyre today: Schwalbe Furious Fred 2.25 (395g) ' The TR clamps had to go because of the angled wall on the Trialtech rim, and at tad poor placing of the 4-bolt mount. Did magic for the brake, which has no need for a booster. Oh... And I also found a few Ti-bolts... I love my shed! Haha...
  11. Thanks guys! Had a ride yesterday, and it felt nice. Ice, snow and all things frosty over here meant i couldn`t ride it properly. Rockman camshells are way too soft. so those are gone. Well, thanks! How`s you`re front tyre working? More info in post #19 here: Klikk!
  12. Had an opportunity to swap my 09 Control frame for this Slate, and took it. Off to give it a proper pounding tonight. 9.2Kg Also, seeing as my last bikecheck-post was more popular because of a picture of my wife to be mowing the lawn, I`ll throw in another pic of her, just for good measures. Rides great BTW.....
  13. Thanks guys! Add me on facebook: Ole Hall , or msn: ole.hall@gmail.com , and I`ll let you know when we`re heading over again.
  14. Shipley Glen was just amazing! In fact, most spots we rode during this trip were. But my highlights were Porthcawl and Shipley Glen.
  15. Thanks! We`re planning to do it again...

    Uk Road Trip

Hey! Me and Mattias went over to UK spring 2009. It was a real blast, and we will be back! 17. check them out on: www.schwalbe.de I do recommend them, but as far as any bikepart goes, you`ll just have to try them out and see if they fit you and your style.
  18. Thanks! Not from what I`ve heard. I`ve ridden mine since early may, and it`s holding up just fine so far. Does need a booster, though.
  19. Stated weight from Schwalbe is 850g. I`ve cut some knobs of mine, and when I weighed it last time, the park tools scale said 730g. The rubber is really tacky (gooey gluey compound), and really predictable. Snakeskin sidewalls gives great snakebite protection. I`ve sworn by these tyres for the last two seasons. When this one wears out, I`ll try out the new "wicked will" which has the same carcass, but different tread. No con`s, really! Well pleased with it.
  20. A little update. New wheels ( SL / DT Supercomp / Trialtech Sport) TryAll cranks Back to the Rockman fork (mostly due to the geo oft the fork & 190mm disc).
