Your Opinion On The Direction Trials Should Be Taking.
rids replied to Tom_'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
its the most demanding and requires the most effort of all of them i ride xc and it took time to get to a standard but i don't need to practice with trials u seem to need to be on it Regually or balance drifts -

ok i brought my fist trials bike and sat (thank you T-MAGura) and after sorting out a few bits i took it out today problem is i have kids and needed to get it in the boot of the car so wheels need to come off front and back . now with my xc bike and the maguras i have the quick releases so its ok but on the trials bike i seem to have to let the tires down every time and its annoying stood in a carpark with a track pump any ideas on how i can deal with this cus as u all no the gearing ent right for me to ride into town on LOL

I Have Invented The Best Brake Lever In The World !
rids replied to $IL3NT.'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
tennis racket tape you can get it in fer or rubber and in different grip compounds or if you are really skint elastic bands -
but a lid dose tend to stick out about 1" to 2" from your head meaing its harder to hit your nose and eye (if worn correctly)

i am also led to believe that the way the pads work in disc brakes is mainly one direction of rotation so if u are up on your back wheel it puts force in other both directions depending on correction but i'm just a noob i read that some were els so correct me if i'm wrong sorry i got it rong its from this where i jumped to the wrong anser "as for disc brakes, while some trials bike frames are built to accomodate disc brakes on the rear, the disc tabs on the Trek Bruiser aren't ideal for trials. y'see, while the bike is up on the rear wheel and the brake is locked the brake tabs are having forces exherted on them from the wheel being pushed backwards; if you have to do a corrective hop backwards and brake while the wheel is travelling backwards, the forces are even greater. 98% of disc tabs are designed to absorb brake forces from the bike travelling forwards, so they can rip off if trials moves are performed on them." quote bEavoLa (mbuk.com/forum"
