If you bobtail it and do not alter the wheel base it's a case of sharp edges for the MOT, if you DO alter the wheelbase it will need a VIC test.Yeah, all you're doing is changing the bodywork - as long as it's all done properly you shouldn't have any problems
cheers for that,so fitting a rear winchbumper or something simular would render te vechile safe?
-
does anyone know anything about the laws regaurding bobtailing?
i've had a chat about it with a mate and he seems to think that it wouldnt need to be tested as the wheelbase isn't altered ,but another person iv'e spoken to reckons you do
cheers,steve

aww lovers tiff
i shall have to attend a different brum ride, just been too busy recently

Ok, so just cant figer out what pad im gonna get for my vees. Im placing a tarty order, so something that they have preferably. im using really crappy rear vees on a mod with a really dead grind. I ride in dry and wet, and i want bite, but not much noise. I have cnc backings, so any hs33 pad will work too.
Thanks alot
inspired pads are good with a light/dead grind

I'm not familiar with tubeless setups, what's the deal?
pretty much its a rubber rimtape with a valve that lines the inside of the rim and a little bit of liquid latex that lives within the tire .it took me just over a hour to do,using a compressor .take a look at this ,i belive it explains the ghetto technique wich is very cheap to do ,alternitavely you could buy a proper setup .

i bought a pair of atomlab aircorp of here a while ago for very little money, and they are really strong, not too sure about the weight but their certainly not heavy.
ever thought about going tubeless ?i lost a hell of a lot of my wheelset weight when i changed, just a thought like

Sorry to thread-jack, but what's the lightest decent 24" tyre about at the moment?
I have diggers and they are great, but I'd prefer something a little slicker and lighter.
Cheers!
moto rt's with a tubeless setup thats what i run on my inspired street machine

victoria square, white walls and red wals are just a couple of the best bit, your best bet is to go on a group ride with some locals

my avid bb7 is as powerfull if not more than many hydrolic brakes ,plus the complete set-up is like £70 ,if it's possible i'd reccomend you try someones bike that has a bb7 on it to find out for yourself
-
i'd say its not a particularly trials orientated frame, maybe look at base ta 26 frames ,they are a bit better for trials but still allow the use off a seat

To my knowledge (which is likely somewhat shakey) it's when someone uses vibrating equipment a LOT, (ie, pneumatic drills on the roadside etc...). The excessive vibrations can damage the circulation to that part of the body, meaning less blood gets to it.
Less blood means less colour - and fingers tend to start turning white.

my bb7 (203mm rotor ) front brake is awesome ,lots of modulation and maybe too much power,i say too much because i can lock the front wheel up and skid along on tarmac, and i have a tryall tyre on the front.
cheers,steve
