  1. Stupid Frame/wheel/chain Tension/brake Problem

    Info you need to know:

    20"

    07 Gu frame

    King hub

    snail cams

    KMC kool chain

    Basically my back wheel keeps moving.

    so, i get the chain tension right, then attempt to tighten up the wheel, as i spin the bolt the hub itself moves and then mucks up the chain tension and the wheel alignment.

    When i finally get the tension and wheel alignment right, and after i've had to re- adjust the brakes, everything is all tight and set up mint. Then when i put pressure on it the wheel moves, the chain goes loose and the brake rubs against the rim.

    Tried doing it different ways and with different snail cams, still does exactley the same.

    Need ideas how to fix it, don't really want to spend loads of money just fixing a simple problem.

    Nothing will happen about it, until you probably have kids. Just remember how long it takes to get things put through these days.

    I'm going to be taking Advanced Driving just so my insurance comes down :)

    Roughley how much does it cost to do the Advanced driving thing?

    I'm about 6foot, what size would you recommend?

    Basically what i was trying to get at, would be much easier to have one in a central loacation rather than haveing 2 trials parks within a 10 mile radius, thats just greedy lol theres a limited amount in the whole of the UK never mind having 2 in oxfordshire

    Edit: could have worded that a bit better, bit drunk :$

    I completley get your point but we are at the constant threat off getting our bikes conviscated for ever, to be honest i don't want that to happen.

    I also don't have any way of transport so i can't travel anywhere.

    Why not just get on board with Sue (Dj's mum) and help out with getting the trials park done in Abingdon. As things are already underway with the town council and funding events are beginning to be organized there is FAR more chance of this becoming a reality as these internet petitions never go anywhere. I am yet to see one produce any results.

    I would help Sue but that means travelling to Abingdon most days and i have no transport so it's a bit of a problem.
