  1. I would go for some Giro XC helmet from the last season if my budget was limeted. But i think for more advanced moves i would wear protec ones. I've worn them in my skating years and I always felt very safe with them. At the moment, as I'm only a trials beginner, my XC helmet feels fine and comfortable.
  2. Hi, great forum, thanks for all your fast answers! I'm glad that there are so many riders out there who were or who are in the same situation and you kept on riding because you just enjoyed it, no matter how old and how good. The postings are really pushing me right now, can't wait to get outside and ride, I just have to wait until the rain has finally stopped here. Thanks for your helpful opinions, Olli
  3. Hi, I'm 23 years old and I've been riding XC for some time now and skateboard for some years back when i was young and trials riding caught my interest in the last weeks. After visiting some websites and watching some videos I just went out and tried the basics and it's so much fun although I'm not into any advanced tricks yet. But what I'm asking myself is if it's a good idea to start riding trials in the age of 23. I know that you should continue with something if you enjoy it and I don't mind riding with younger people either but what about health and the learning curve? The older you are the longer it takes to learn new things, though i don't consider myself as old (only if i look at the age poll in this forum ). Is there any chance to learn some advanced tricks? Trials just "feels" right for me at the moment and i think i could manage it to learn some decent stuff. Just wanted to ask if there are other riders out there who started in such a "high" age and managed some advanced stuff. Olli
