  1. 5'8" 140 lbs and could tap 58" to rear lmfao such a beast! Riding with him was INSANE!

Now he's ridiculous on bmx, probably the most talented rider on the planet.

  2. Thats streety style skatepark looked awesome!! Where abouts in canada are you??

    He's in Thunder Bay.

Nice video Dan. Good mix of lines. That bike looks a bit short for you...I think you should try something new. (Y)

Are you done university this year? We should ride again next summer!

  3. Learn it to your good side first, then once you have good technique and can get some decent height, it'll be much easier to learn them to your bad side. I can sidehop 44" to my good side, and I NEVER practice towards my bad side, but I know I can get about 33" consistently.

You guys should be calling it 'good' and 'bad' sides, not right and wrong. The elites are good at sidehopping to either side.

  4. Not necessarily.

Massive contact area with the hydroformed downtube 'cos of the shape they've made it into, and a reasonable sized gusset on the toptube (which also has a pretty good amount of contact area too). No reason why it should be 'flexy'.

I've had 2 frames that did not have joined top and downtubes, and tried another, deff the most flexy front ends I've ever felt. Not joining the top and downtubes = fail. I' just can't see a 1.6 kg frame with unjoined top and down tubes to have a stiff front end, even if they have a bit more weld contact area than others.

  5. monty freewheels are awful, i had one and it skipped more than it clicked haha. get tensile, its what i run and its never gone wrong, but god dont get monty, they are sooooooooo bad. and it isnt just mine, i have a friend who has one with the same skipping problem

Funny, I've had mine for 2.5 years and its still going strong. It has never skipped.

  6. I just rebled another brake in 5 minutes...swapped my 04 magura master for an 05 one. No air in the line.

I had a look at it again, and I think I figured out what was wrong with the echo TR. When I bled it, I used a small bucket and did up the master valve when I was pushing air out the slaves, and I had the master in my hand and out of the bucket(with the bleed bolt closed at the master). What I think happened was that it was leaking as I pumped the brake, so every time I'd pump the brake, a small amount of water would leak out...and air would get in.

  7. Worked fine for me, worked fine for the majority of other people who have done it...

Did you clean the swarf out of the lever, like everyone told you to do?

Yeah, it was the first thing I did before I rebled it.

  8. Your just a full on dick aren't you? Obviously if your bleeds are as amazing as you put across, then the brake would work, or there would be an obvious leak :S

And if you already know the outcome why waste more money?

Lastly, no one else comes on here, feels the need to post a topic as extreme as yours just because you got sent a faulty product. If I came on here and started saying "My Echo freewheel is rubbish, it doesn't engage, lets boycott the sales" You'd think I was a complete tosser, so STFU yeah?

People like you really p*ss me off.... If you knew they were so terribly bad, why would you buy one then come crying on here about it :S

I didn't know it was so terribly bad, I asked if it would work, you said it would. I tried it, it didn't work. I wanted to see if the new echo brakes were good or not, and apparently they arn't yet.

  9. You're either not bothered about money or a complete f*ckwit, all I ever hear you do is complain about Echo brakes, you get one, you say it's leaking straight from the box, so you water bleed it? Are you completely stupid? You've just lost all your money, on something you slag off repeatedly?

Can you not just do us all a favour and f*ck off back to OTN

You were the guy that said it wouldn't leak.

I wasn't going to waste more money in shipping it back to the UK to get a replacement. A $60 front brake isn't a big lot of money to lose. And I figured it was the slaves leaking, so I switched them, then I rebled. You don't seem to get my point - I don't care about tarty sending me a faulty brake, I'm saying that people in general should not use echo brakes, and that shops shouldn't even waste their time stocking them.

To clear up the bleeding issue, I'm going to get a proper bleed kit tonight and rebleed it. But I already know what the outcome will be...

You know that's physically not possible, don't you?

Not if the master pisses out water.

  10. Used an Echo cross-over with no problems. I can 'break' Magura hoses 'with my hands'.

Using just a cross-over isn't the same. If you've cut magura line and echo lines you'll notice how easy it is to cut through echo lines, while maguras are actually quite difficult. When I had my original echo brake I was breaking lines every few weeks, yet I've never broken a magura line. One of the locals ordered an echo SL brake and the brake line actually snapped as he took it out of the box.
