  1. ive ridden one of the zhis, but i cant remember which, meh, they are similar anyways.

the zhi rode really nicely, very flicky, maybe too short? depends on what you like

the zip was also a nice ride but was very heavy, but this could be an advantage as it will probably never die, ever

    cheers

Can you name any other frames with a bashplate (i would rarther have one.)

why do most frames not have a bash?

-£1300 to spend what frames do you recommend?

  2. hi,

I am going from stock to mod and will have £1300 to spend what frames do you recommend. I ant that bad of a rider the only thing is the only 20" bikes i have ridden are Saracen 2 zero and one t-vee.

please don't recommend a bike because you have seen it and really like it but you haven't ride it. (Please only post about bikes you have ridden and know about.)

    Thanks lee

  3. Zona zip or the Ashton Justice mod bike. I think they look very good but that's just my opinion.

Keep us up to date about what you get.

    Adam.

I like your idear i was looking at the zona zip but i have got to find one cheap enough becouse i ant got that much because i have just been bought my stock my dad dont want me to sell it though i have got anouth topic called "getting a bike" to find out how much i could get for it.

    cheers lee

Ps: if you know any one sellinf a zona please get back to me or add me on msn trials-r-lee@hotmail.co.uk

  4. hi,

I ride stock but want to go to mod I'm a ok rider could you recommend a 20" trials for me i am also 5 foot 8 (if that matters)

This may sound really stupid but i really like my mates Saracen 2-zero but i sort of don't want to buy it because its a Saracen and you cant mod it very well (eg: rear wheel 20"). Also do you know any one selling a 20" trials if so please could you leave contact details (msn address) and a quick spec of the bike.

    cheers Lee

  5. Is a good topic to come up with mate but sounds like something my mum would tell me... It's upto the individual to wear a helmet not everyone to make people think differently of trials???

I was not trying to make people change there mind about trials riding or telling them what they should or shouldn't do but sorry if i was. (Y)

  6. Hmm, I thought I'd post my opinions on wearing helmets.

Those who have seen me ride, will know that I wear a helmet, and I have my reasons.

    Whats up with that?

You may be the best trials rider, or the worst trials rider, it doesn't matter how good you are, it only takes one slip and your a goner. Your next ride, could be your last.

You can always buy a new helmet, but never a new head.

Us trials riders are usually law abiding in our everyday riding, and don't go out on our bikes to cause trouble with other people (unlike some of the people smashing windows and smoking drugs on street corners.)

Sometimes people stop and chat with us and ask why aren't we in the skate park, etc.

It made me come to a conclusion that if you are wearing a helmet, its made you think that you do care about your own personal safety, which means your are careful about what you ride on.

You usually get the odd person come up to you whilst you are riding around, and says that you are damaging what you ride on. If they see you are wearing a helmet they'll see that you are responsible to think it through before risking your own head for damage, therefore they will believe that you are careful on obstacles that we ride on (not causing any damage).

Trials is different, we are a nice group of guys, we need to change the opinions of the average -Joe, who believe that everyone on a bike is out to destroy things and create havoc for everyone else.

I personally would like to see more of us wearing helmets, I wouldn't want anyone of us to damage ourselves from riding without a helmet.

You can get Giro helmets as worn by people such as Craig Lee Scott, Neil Tunnilcliffe, and Martyn Ashton on the net from around £35, or you can get similar styled helmets in auto parts etc for £15-£20.

If anyone of us wanted to get sponsored, the sponsor would want to choose someone who has thought trials through (wears a helmet), over the person who doesn't wear a helmet.

If we want to hit the media, we want to change the look of biking for the public, wear a helmet!!

what is your conclusion on us trials riders wearing helmets.

  7. hi,

welcome to the forum hope you find out about the stuff you need to know about if you have any questions just post them in the

"Trials forum > New Members > New members chat."
Take a look at the guidelines to see what to do to become a member. you have got to do simple stuff like use spell check and correct grammar.

What is your price range for your 20" trials.
