  1. Well if you dont mind to much if its a 20" or 26" i always think a onza t-bird is a goood starters bike. I started on it and found it a good little bike. learnt all the simple things on it. All so have a look on ebay theres allways bikes on there going for a lot less than they are brand new and remeber its a trials bike it doesnt matter if theres a scratch on because your going to get scratches on it any way even the best get scratches on theres.

airevaleycycles.co.uk << They have a good range of bikes

You should've given us a call, your frame is still under warrenty and as long as there's no massive dints and it's not absolutely battered there'll be a new frame for you!

  4. its a shame that monty are getting such a bad reputation, back in the day (12 years ago) monty an megamo were the big (and probably only) makes for trials

I actualy agree with you im ony 14 and rather new to trials but realy like the montys but there just not good quality any more. would get a new monty but costing me to much money and with only being 14 its not easy to get money.

  8. well to be honest my front end on my STOCK feels lighter than my mates monty TI work that out hes got carbon spacers and ti forks and ti spokes/nipples but my bike prob weighs around the same as a ti which im happy with :P

weight does play a big part in this game i find it much easier to get up things with the bike i have now than my old onza t rex (a tank)

but if you just do simple things like swap your dh tube for a skinny one or change your cassette to a single speed or rear mech to a tensioner you will notice the difference

i think if you have a light front end and the rear that little bit heavier than the front you got it sorted imo because when you drop and that yo obviously want the rear end to lande first

    hope this helps

Should'nt realy say this since i ride a monty but i have found that they are light but things break on them alot. I have a 221pr and like it but its cost me so much money and nearly every one wih a Ti i no has snapped there forks. Other than that they are brilliant light bikes.

  9. Natural is so much better than street.Street gets boring after ten minutes because all walls are the same as with natural every rock is different and there are so many more ways of getting up them.Anyway lets get to the point my favourite practise area was addingham but now its closed but all so shipley glen and cow and calf are good. The moon rocks look good but i have never been there but looking forward to the national there.

  10. Hey well i've been reading that you should learn to sidehop oppisite to your lead foot because you can catch your pedal, untill i read this i could sidehop fine to the right and im right footed.

Now i have been trying to teach meself to sidehop left but can only do 35 inchs but i go the front wheel and swing the back end round which is really uncomftable and feels wrong and my balence is all out. However if i sidehop to the right then i can get 40 inchs and land flat.

So is it worth pushing myself to sidehop left?

    Cheers

    Adam

Yes it defently is worth pushing your self to do it to the left just a couple of weeks ago i was likeyou and felt all uncomftable going to the left but know it feals normal and i can get about 7 inches higher than i could before.Just keep practasing what i did to get used to the feal because it realy is a strange fealing is just do it on a little wall that u can do until you feal comftable it helps.Good luck.

  11. (bump) Not realy my topic to bump but addingham can not close last time i looked 661 people had signed it so keep it up.I have just herd from wayne that the reason they have closed it is because the house just oppersite have said that they cant do there farming because the road is to busy that is a public road. The gates are actually closed and it is only alloud to be opened 14 days a year.so please get it signed even if you dont no it, it realy is a great place to go and to prove that i think a couple of years ago 1 of the world rounds was there.
