Hi guys, just thought id post a vid up of some recent dirt jumping I did. The 26 GHz isn't just a good trials bike, check out the jumping you can do on it aswell...

yep, I'm running pretty worn koxx pads on a 521 on mine, and its absolutely fine, no bodge required!

I have to say, the comp was brilliant, As was the riding before, during and after. It was so well organised, and the comp was so well run, that despite the turnout, it was really a very good event. The obstacles were very well made, and also very well thought out. It was far from the build quality of the things at the last event, when it was literally thrown together in a few hours.
It was quite a mission to get up there, but well worth it. It was a real let down having such a small turnout, theres not really much excuse if you commit to it and then dont turn up. Theres really nothing much else to do on easter day, except watch tv. even if you have family round, why get them to come aswell, and get them to do something new.
Hopefully we can have a far bigger turnout at the next one, and really make it something to remember. Surely if it was that good with so little people, it can be even better with more.
Well done Tom for sorting everything out, and also well done for every who turned up and rode, and supported the event.

I finished on 49 in elite, and Ad kitto finsihed on 54 in elite too I think.
I thought the trial was wicked, really well made, and had really well thought out sections. I specially enjoyed sections 1 and 2, for setting a time of 35 seconds in section 1 (Y), and for ad kittos ridiculous roll out through the trees on section 2... :lol:
I probably had more crashes through the day than most, but really enjoyed it all, cant wait for the next one!

I thought it was a pretty good trial, finished on 78 in elite 26, quite probably finished last :D" , got plenty of excuses for lack of practise though, after taking time off cos of a broken toe, and latest injury of a dislocated wrist.
Adam kitto finished on 70 in elite 26, on a black giant, which cant be too bad for his second comp in 4 years.
Nice one waynio for observing, stepping in at the last minute, and standing around in the cold all day instead of riding.
I thought the sections were laid out pretty well, quite enjoyable. specially enjoyed doing a section while being pummelled with snowballs near the end (N) . Was a bit of a pain not having time limits, but that wasnt too much of a problem. bring on the next NBTC trial i reckon...

finally got round to replying to this post...
What a fantastic weekend! Big thanks to Tom for putting on the event on friday, shame the supervisor chap wouldnt let me do my silly line... ah well. Over all though, an excellent event, and it seemed that good fun was had by all.
Thanks to Matt for a quality party friday night, and whoevers house it was that i slept on the sofa at.
I cant really say one thing or another that made it a good weekend for me, there were just so many good moments, its impossible to pick one. But it was very good to see so many riders, riding together and all getting along really well.
It would be good to see a another similar event soon...

all UCI style is trying not to use the bashring or pedals. surely no bad thing? why cant people ride street UCI. in other words ride street without putting the ring or pedals down. moves will always look cleaner if done to wheels than the ring or pedals. UCI is nothing to do with a particular riding style, just a different way of thinking. I try and use pedals and ring as little as possible, making me a UCI style rider, but I ride street, so im a UCI street rider... go for it people, moan away at me.

if you want to hurt yourself, then yes, ride them. snapping bars on gaps, or drops, is a painful experience that I wouldnt recommend.

well, to clear things up, my frame is exactly the same as all the 26GHzs that are coming off the jig at the moment, and it fits a 521 with no pad bodge. Just make sure you have your mag bled properly, and it should all work fine.
