Wots The Worst Thing Happend To You Doin Trials
rosswaa replied to mandry1991's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
i hit the ground hard! i was pedaling as fast as i could and forgot how wide my bars were, the gateway i was going to go through must have notied this and made itself alot narrower! i hit the posts and sort of catapulted myself hip first over the bars and into the ground infront of loads of goths at the park! couldnt walk properly for ages -
Sure he can clear a gap, but can he corner like this?? its a near perfect corner Great Cornering
-
id say street, just becuase its more of a showoff thing to do! and looks better, although natural is technically more difficult becuase its never the same its just so much more boring to watch and there isnt alot of style involved, its just getting it done whereas street is all about style thats my opinion
-
haha i thought so, although having a two disc front setup would be cool as fcuk
-
what are these double disc brake things, any pictures about, iv never seen them im gunna now guess that this is just a disc on front and back rather than 2 at the front as i first thought lmao
-
im using a 22-16, i was going to use a 18 but just havent yet i might give a 18 a go when i get some new cranks
-
well as long as it beats my ta-26 im happy lol
-
does anyone know the difference between bead blasting and shot blasting?
-
dont they strip it and beed blast it before anodizing? it just stains the metal so you get a really tough finish iv just recieved a quote from the powder coaters in peterborough, they say i would be looking at £60-100 including stripping and shot blasting! maybe i will just do it myself haha
-
try 1:30 lmao great song though
-
whats 40 seconds?
-
biffy clyro- living is a problem because everything dies top song!
-
prolly cheaper to get powdercoated by the sounds of it
-
nice, sounds like a good idea to get powdercoating then, have you got any pictures of the bike?
-
yeh, it costs about £40 to do it properly, i was thinking if anodizing is to much powdercoating might not be so bad, iv emailed some companies near me about prices and stuff, if i get it done ill get some pics up of it
-
i know someone selling some cannondale p bone forks, which are the predessesor of the fatty forks and really strong and lighter they would need painting though as they are a horrible blue but he only wants £30 for them i can give you his msn if you like?
-
that looks mint, thanks alot for that, iv found a anodizer nearish me and iv emailed about the prices and stuff, so hopefully ill be able to have it done properly if it doesnt cost amazing amounts
-
thanks alot, has anyone had this done to their bikes?
-
hi im currently thinkin about gettin a frame anodized, does anyone know what sort of prices it would be and where i could get it done id rather have it anodized than paint it myself and bodge that up also its lighter and alot harder than paint im lookin for it around lincolnshire-ish thanks alot

HI Welcome to trials! well a stock bike is 26", but that shouldnt matter about your balance, you just have to keep practising that personally i prefer stock as it looks better when you get good, im still working on that lol but mods are easier to throw about and generally lighter so if your a smaller person would be alot easier than a stock, im 6ft 4 so stocks works great for me if your buying second hand look ouyt for cracks and harsh dents in the frame as it will shorten the life dramatically and look for harsh wear alot of trials riders have a disc at the front and a hydraulic rim at the back this is so theres more modulation (variation i guess) on the front which would help with front wheel tricks also i couldnt really recomend a bike as i dont know what you would prefer i.e. mod or stock anyway mate good luck with your new adventure!

are they actually any good?

Read the guidelines -After A Monty Frame

i think its only fair that if mods and members moan at pre-members like myself about "tlkin lik diz init" then its only fair all member should im only saying, and dont want to start any arguments -
im using yeti lock on grips. comfy, grippy and last! the only problem riders would have would be they are pretty fat, but i have big hands so i get on with them well and they look mint on the bike
-
i only want 1 so the bike flows from tube to wheel, giving a sleeker look. if done right it makes the bike look mint!
-
the frame is about £400, well worth it though! only thing i can say abot the tricks would be to keep practising!
