Is this the same stuff?
I think ill go for this. I have the same problem. It comes from the spline on the crank
wearing from being ridden a little loose. I learned the hard way (as usual)
yeah it is the same stuff
just get a new bb/cranks then put loctite on, tighten the bolt up and you should be fine because ive never had to tighten mine up

Is it still possible to get the bottom bracket out when you glue it on?
When its glued on you probably cant get it off without some big force, but what "ashes" might of ment was the blue loctite stuff which "Locks threaded fasteners against vibration loosening" so you basically can only get the crank off if you want to take it off.

one of my friends did this of a higher wall and he didn't have a helmet on

Hi,
I was wondering if i should spend some money on trials-tyres if i'm going to do some "from A to B riding" aswell as trials? Tyres i'm currently on are crappy worn out mtb tyres which are slippy as ice if wet.
So if i ride tyres like TryAll Sticky will they be gone in like a month? If yes, what should i get to get optimal wear life with reasonable grip?
Or should i put my money on something else and grind my old tyres to slics and go ghetto?
It depends on what type of terrain your riding because:
if your riding competions and you want maximum grip go for the softer compound tryalls.
but if your riding street you'll want something grippy which will also last longer so go for the harder compound Maxxis tyres.
Seen as your wanting A to B tyres you best option will probably maxxis . i cant really suggest any because i don't ride stock

I'd be quite happy with a trials section in long eaton. It's only a little while on the train for me from loughborough.
yh, it should be good

As the title says there is going to be a trials park in Long Eaton, westpark (Nottingham) . At the minute it is being designed by Joe Oakley and it should be finished late this year (i think) it is going to take that long because there is also going to be a skate park and a cyclocross track as well, so its going to be a three parter.
The trials park will probably consist of concrete pipes, rocks from a local quarry and lots of telegraph poles, there will also probably be more stuff to ride on because at the minute Joe is going to go to his favourite spots and taking pictures of all the stuff, so we probably will have more stuff
If you want more information about the park when we have more meetings i will update this topic so you will all now
Hopefully the park will be very popular and attract lots of people, so more people will no about trials biking
Thanks, Sam

Thanks everyone it all helped and in the end it was my piston and tpa, there was no leaks/breaks anywhere else in the system so thanks people
and my brake works awesome now
-
just want to now some tricks you can do and tell me how to do them,I just got an onza t bird so need some help
http://www.trashzen.com/ go on there and you should be sorted mate

Have you checked the condition of your TPA?
If the red TPA wheel has lost its thread (just over time and use), it cannot grip the lever rod, which affects how much your brake pulls in/bites.
Just take out your lever blade, unscrew the TPA and if all is good give the threads a lube for good measure.
I've had the same problem in the past, feels exactly like ripping your hosing, or putting your TPA all the way to minus.
yeah, my tpa doesn't work but it still has the thread on it though
so i just keep it on the bottom of the screw all the time

you sure your bleedin it right, no air in there ?? is it nice and solid when you start using it ?
i bleed it with a syringe and there's no air in there at all, and it does feel solid after i've bled it.
but once i've bled it, after about 1 pull it starts to go down again, and i cant see where the water is coming out of either which is confusing

samster , i am not special , i want good bits not everything comes from tarty lol
thanks alex il have a google search for a bit now:)
i dont no any other parts to be honest lol
-
Every time i go riding my back (HS33) brake looses all its pressure/water that's in it.
I've re-bled it, replaced all the hosing, cylinders and even the lever.
but its still loosing the pressure and its very annoying.
and also the cylinders aren't moving an inch.
any ideas on what to do people?

This lever is very good and strong and cheap i use it for my bb7 and its fine ---> http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10128&category_id=71
This cable is also good (because i use it) and i've had no problems with it --> http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10192&category_id=5
hope i helped

your not allowed to swap or sell things in new members im afraid
-
the only way that i can think of is drilling the bolt out.
to do that just get a drill, put a small drill bit, then drill it through, then use a bigger drill bit every time, until it comes out with the drill bit.(if you didn't know how to do that)
hope i helped
-
get some tnn's like me danny and have a grind
-
I used to ride everyday without fail, but right now I am riding once a week or once every other week because I just get frustrated with my bike or my riding and end up having a tantrum.
+1
