I had Magura HS33 installed but they didn't feel right so I switched to Avid BB7 Disc Brake - Mechanical 185-203mm '07.
The Avid feel much "mushier" so now I am seriously considering changing back to the "Maggies".
I would sure like to hear your comments guys.
Thanks,
-Eran
BB7........ Just about to order mine
Just take it to your local bike shop and get them to set it up. Check the pads. And rotor. (Maybe not rotor. But just look for dirt and grime. And clean it.)

Congratulations mate.

All mod wheels are 19 inch rear and front 20. Rear is wider as you look at it from above.
Aha see..... Told you.
-
Might just come... Depends if i can get my wheel built and buy front brake by this week end lol.
But if i can deffo come.

You'll laugh!
Da bomb schoole.
In need of new bike, waiting for birthday
Joe
HAHA....... Only joking. As i have a da bomb team magura. Oh and by the way that is 20" on front and 19" rear.
Easy way to tell what rim is 19"...... Its a lot wider.
Scott.
P.s: Also why are you posting in NMC???? As you are a full member. lol
-
It's not that simple, not all mod frames take 19".
So i need to measure my rim to find out how big it is so that i can then find out what size the frame takes!
Joe
What frame do you have. And thats a new one on me.
-
Sorry i meant to mean how big the wheel is,
weather it's 19" or 20" just because i need to find out what rim size it was if i was to buy another one.
Joe
19" rear and 20" front On mods. 24" front and rear on a 24". And 26 front and back on stock.
-
Exactly, too much. Get a 180 BB7, you wont need to buy another front brake again.
Do they make 180??...... Only ever found 160, 185 and 203..
-
178/180 for 36h 4x
I think (without checking) 174 will be fine if your using an Echo styled hub. And a DX32 with eyelets. 32h 3x
List the hub and i'll go check later.
All the hub says on it is pro max.

Dose any one know what the Alex dx-32 20" rims diameter and offset is? As i need it to find out what size spokes i need. Because i really cant be bothered to wait till the week end to go to my local bike shop to get the size spokes i need. lol.
Scott.
-
depends on which way i side hop doesnt it?
True but i find it alot easyer same as alot of other people to side hop non free wheel side what has the rotor on that side.
-
Karl get front Maggy until you can side hop. Other wise you will have the risk of hitting the rotor and bending/snapping it.

Ok i have a front disk hub that just has pro max printed on it. Dose any one know what size spokes i need?? I know when i buy spokes of tarty you tell them what hum rim and hole you have. But the thing is i dont know what pro max hub it is. I will get photos of it up tomorow. If any one on here has on can you tell me what size spokes i would need. for it being laced on to a 20" rim. Its silver and wide flanged. Thats all i can say lol.
Cheers Scott.

Scott.
-
