  1. for all who couldn't but want to download the video from vimeo, jerome from tribalzone uploaded it to their server.

    here you go:

    @chimpanzyyyy

thanks for your tips. i totaly agree that the spinning logo is to eye-catching.

for the intro, yeah, maybe you're right, but you don't have to see everything clearly in the intro, thats whats the others parts are for ;) but i will try to make it better next time.

    thanks for your comment.

  2. Yea first HD video I've had an issue with.

Doubt its due to out of date drivers, the PCs a week old :P

hm, than i don't have any idea whats wrong, but if its stuttering also on vimeo, then it couldn't be the video. because vimeo reencodes it to their own flash format, so every video should run on your pc. i had some friend who had a dual core amd and has also some stuttering problem on vimeo and other flash video sites. he solved it by right clicking in the video and open the flash setting. their he disable the hardware acceleration and it plays back smooth.

  3. I tried it in VLC and Quicktime using Vista64, and neither could handle it.

strange, and other hd mpeg4 videos are running good?

because its only 3,5mbit/s bitrate with 1280x720 resolution. its not that hard to play back for normal pcs.

maybe you have some old graphiccard driver?

  4. Constructive criticism...

The into was just too ott, the flashing and stuff just didn't work. It made it look like a poorly made video from the 80s or something. The rotating Koxx logo was quite frankly the most annoying bit though. It would have been fine for the first 10 seconds of the video for example, but 5 minutes in and all I was doing was watching the logo spin, not the riding.

For an HD video though (considering the size of the download) the quality was really poor, and looked as if you could have achieved the same on a middle of the range SD camera. I'd suggest going through your export settings, as the downloaded video wouldn't play smoothly on my PC, and this things built for HD editing. The only way I could watch it was on Vimeo with HD off, and even then it struggled occasionally.

ok, maybe next time a not rotating logo would be better, thanks :)

for the intro, mh ok, that was the idea i had when editing the intro so i made it. i think it depends always on the peoples taste. but i will try to make some super futuristic next year ;) i'm joking. i understand what you mean.

but for the HD quality i couldn't agree. if you watch it with HD off on vimeo, then yes its looking bad, but if you download the original file, the quality is good and many others can play it back without problems. do you use vlc?

the night section of the video is not that good quality because of the less light, the resolution is going down too.

and the size isn't that big for an HD video of that lenght. i have to use a lower bitrate then normal to get it on vimeos 500mb limitation.

maybe you installed windows7 and play it back with the windows media player? there i have the same stuttering problem, but with vlc its plaing back smooth.

  5. yeah the intro was not that good

but riding, interview editing, music was spot on

    hi,

what do you not like on the intro? only for intrest, is it to fast? or is the flickering of the color stuff to much?

i wanted to know because than i can make it better in 2010 :)

  6. I have little remarks about this video, I disliked the hannes herman video, but this one was very good :)

The only remark I have is the little camera movement editing based on the music, that does hinder the viewability a bit.

Personally I like to have a good look at the techniques of the riders in trials video's, rather than be impressed by the video editing techniques.

So the best video effects would be those that enhance the look at the techniques I guess :P

But don't get me wrong, this video was almost perfect in construction, just being picky about little things.

thanks, and i don't get you wrong.

but i have to say that i don't edit it this way to show you i can edit to the music :D

it mostly because the long lines he does and sometimes he wait a little longer before a jump and if i don't trick a little to shorten it down, then we have a 20min vid ;)

    and to chimpanzyyyy:

you get your hannes herrmann video, i think before june.

  7. thanks for all your comments!!!

    @omgnoseat (btw great nick)

thats what i have planned for this year, HD vid of marko grosenik.

wait till the koxxdays, or some time after it,

tribalzone and some other french friends planned some big vid of the koxxdays, i think this could be a great vid

  8. Slowest ever response on TF? :P

Good camera, got one myself. Does over-expose too much though.

haha, i didn't had the permission to answer your question :P

yeah you're right with the overexposure, but try the cine-mode the colors looks washed out, but perfect for colorcorection.

    to the others:

it's OK, i get it, you don't like the first part...

but my trialdocumentation or marko berthold - berlin vids weren't that bad i think, i'm learning ;)

  9. ... One guy said that competitions are not about being the best or something, well tell that to the high level competitors. That is something what I personally dont agree with, for most people it is just for fun and stuff but there still are some who work hard to get to the top and stay there :)

he doesn't talk about competitions, he mean street trials is not about being the best... maybe the subtitles interpret it wrong?

and thanks for all your comments. this year i will be at the koxxdays, maybe i meet some of you. and i planned to make a video of it too.

but no interviews, only roadtrip to france and vibes... (with marko berthold and maybe hannes herrmann)

  10. Impressive editing skills but he's gone a bit over the top with them.

I liked the natural section a lot, very well put together. And I experienced a pleasant feeling watching it, that I'm sitting in a warm cosy room.

Seems like quite a good camera he's using, do you know what it is?

    i used the Canon HV20

notice: there are some weird edits in the intro, i will update the video tommorow, but the rest is ok, so i think it dosn't annoy you

  12. Maxxis were the tyre of choice, but now continental are bringing out some REALLY good tyres that walk all over maxxis!

if you want to save weight, get the rubber queen.

If you want the ultimate grip and puncture protection, wait for the rain king or De Krauser, they are stupidly good!

    Hi Ali,

is the rain king or kaiser bigger than the rubber queen? because wider tyres don't fit in my echo pure08

  13. if you want to use professional software then adobe premiere cs3/cs4 or final cut is the right for you.

if you want some cheaper software, then ulead, magix or pinnacle.

between these to ranges is sony vegas video.

with all of these editing programs you can edit great movies. you only know how ;)

the professional software don`t have more videoeffects or something, it has for example the support for professinal tape recorders/player like DigiBeta or HDCam and so on.

so you can make the same video with magix movie maker then with premiere pro.

    hope the english is ok.
