    Very impressive ranking Danny, nice one for whooping Gilles Coustellier's ass. Do you honestly think that link means you're the seventh best rider in the world? 7th richest, or 7th most dilligent for attending every round perhaps well done but look how many lower ranked riders attended as many rounds as you did, a whopping three rich people you beat fair and square.

    What has my ranking got to do with anything? Am I too lowly ranked to pass comment on the highly ranked like yourself? Or were you just taking the piss out of me because I'm not as gooder rider as you? Not a very professional attitude for someone of your stature.

    well said hugh, too many knobs on here, dave was only having a joke, if people really knew him they would know that. remember in a written post its hard to tell if some one is joking, or having a laff,

    you cant see their face or hear the tone in their voice,

    so why jump to conclusions,

    the other thing with forums in general i find is people can hide behind the computer/internet id, and say things to people that are out of order, and would never say to people's face!!

    What difference would expression or tone of voice make to the original quote? It said what it said. Not a very funny joke? I wouldnt waste my breath saying any of this to anyones face (because I'm scared of getting beaten up :o ) just thought it was an interesting topic for a forum debate. By the way I'm not saying I don't respect Danny as a rider, but in such a minority sport there's no place for arrogance, if a rider is that good he doesn't need his dad to tell anyone how good he is, the people who care will see the results.

    sorry but thats funny i think hes won more than a raffle in his time, but to be fair its hard for new riders coming in to the sport to know all the names etc

    Why should any rider on here know who danny is? If they do its likely because he won a raffle or because they read one of your posts, not because hes a celebrity, he's not a proffesional footballer, he's not even a top world rider - in a minority sport which is only partly competition based. He is a top UK comp rider but hes hardly done any UK comps over the last 5 years, he may have won the odd relatively insignificant title but the fact is 99% of people on here care a lot more about a damon watson videos and neil tunnicliffe crank flips, any reputation that danny has is created mostly by you and himself banging on about his minor achievements such as his support from second rate bike companies (sorry my opinion). You can big yourselves up all you like dave I know I'm not gona stop you but the fact is very few people care and if you think about it it's not worth giving people the impression that you're arrogant.

    Thanks for all the kind words, I've always thought my style and posture were pretty poor but nice to know some people disagree. Definitely staying with 26" now I seem to enjoy it more and its more competitive, if everyone competes at the nationals this year - savage, burton, butler, slinger? ali c and who ever else pulls their finger out then a top rider is going to be finishing 6th or worse! :unsure: Very healthy. Certainly much better than the situation where top riders can afford a bad ride and still win. Rivalry is good for us as a nation, and you never know with the relatively young age of all our top competition riders we may even catch up with the french one day.

    A few clips from the last month. I've only been on 26" for a few months and still getting used to it, think I need to lose some weight before comps start, everything feels like hard work compared to 20" and the bikes making a lot of loud bangs!
