You riding a Zoot? Whatever it is, it seemed to fit your riding style perfectly! Good luck with the recovery as well mate.
-
Love it mate! And spec is almost perfect!
-
I'm not sure why Monty opted for that geo on the stems, I have one of those as well and it's pretty uncomfortable, do they actually work well on the Kamel?
-
Great put together video, Mrohs just kills everything he touches.
-
Great vid Jamie! What frame is that your running in the vid? Your riding great man!
-
+1, sweet video! Would be cool to get more than a few riders together at once over here!
Thought you guys had a pretty good scene up there in Fort Collins though, well at least you used to.
-
Zhi Zm1?
Nvm, I see that it's a Mumba as the bike Adam posted is clearly the same just with the frame painted.
-
It may be an issue with your maggie then. Your lever feel squishy?
-
Headsets, bars, cranks, pedals, hubs, sprockets, grips, aspects of frames very much 'borrowed' from Echo...
Yeah, some of that is expected though, Echo is pretty generic on a lot of that stuff, but almost all their frames are copies of some other frame as well. I can say that there stuff is of pretty good quality though, I've been running a Zhi Zm2 frame as well as a Zhi fork and stem for a couple years and I bought them used, I can tell you that the Zm2 frame is pretty much bombproof, it's obviously not the lightest, but you don't have to afraid about hurting it.

Looked like an awesome group ride!

Yao Zhi used to ride for zoo(echo),then he started his own business under brand Zhi,the problem is,that zhi products are obviously just rebranded ECHO products.Got it?
Not really, only a few things I've noticed to be nearly the same as Echo's. The original ZM1 yes was a copy of the Zoo.

"Please Note: Purchasing this item would ensure a bike as described below is delivered to you. The specification at this price is completely fixed including colours. If you want to change any parts, the only way to do it is to purchase them separately and add them afterwards. We cannot offer any discount for taking parts off the bike."
Okey dokey, guess that answers that.

There's a bit more to it than that. In many ways I can see where Echo are coming from. It's not quite as clear cut as "Zhi started a new company"...
Well I'd love to hear the story, Mark.
-
I vaugly remember... Mark W? I think it was claiming the BB5 was slightly more powerful but the BB7 is more adjustable. Probably wrong
Is the Deore really more powerful? The BB discs I've used have been so powerful every front wheel move felt like a fork breaker.
Dude, he's talking about vees, but I've been running an SD5 on the front for a while now with no real issues, but I'm not too sure what the differences are either, curious to know as well.
-
Echo refused to deal with anyone who also deals in Zhi I believe.
I think Zhi used to work for Deng and then split and made his own company? I've read the full story on here multiple times but my memory is utter wank.
Alex Dark might be able to get Zhi stuff as I know he used to be a dealer, not sure about now though.
You positive of this? That seems pretty petty if that is true of Echo, wants wrong with competition? Sheesh

i ran the monty 221 ti stems (Carbon edition) Along with the monty 221 ti bars
On my koxx xtp 05
adamant a3
ko km1
gu tp 08
koxx xtp 2
Plenty of different geos going on there and well the only reason i dont have them anymore is because i cant find any
Yeah, I know that Davey but my stem is the newer Kamel one and has a different geo
-
Yeah, suppliers absolutely rule.
We've just started getting all our last 2011 orders in now, I think our Neon/Because order is coming to us in about 2 weeks or so. No complete bikes though, just frames 'n' stuff.
Have you guys tried getting Zhi/Bionic stuff? They make quite a few things I actually like.
-
Noice!! Great riding as usual and those places looked like so much fun!
-
Pretty sweet! Wish the quality was better though, that quality on Break is horrible
-
Loved it!! Some huge moves and actually pretty chill as well!
-
Great starting point, little bits here and there and it will be sick!
-
That Koxx is just a rebranded Yaabaa (Guess Yaabaa is no more?)
Out of those two, I would definitely take the Echo
-
Wow! I really like this! Looks like a ton of fun!
-
I think I may have tried those at one point and they were really good, I've got Tango 44's (Caelifera) on right now and there awesome, just really wanting to try some of the TNN's for the awesome backings that I will just refill with whatever material. As the vee backing I have right now are quite high and don't really sit flush with the rim.
