  1. are those cranks a bit long? i recognize this build. 8p looks freaking sweet! can't wait to ride next to it!
  2. it is a BBB highrise OS 110mm @ 25 degrees. it uses 6061 aluminum and 4 mm hex keys on the hbar bolts not 5 or 6 mm bolts like others. echo uses 7075 t6 al. i am not confident in its strength. idk much about the company and i am _not_ going to keep it permanently for strength confidence reasons. i'll just have to find a trials/DH stem similar to it. i am know tarty bikes has a slew of options for stems, i've looked.
  3. i ended up getting a stem to try.... 110mm @ 35 degrees it is way easier to bunny hop and what not. only one ride on it, but i am happy for now. 8D thanks !
  4. great replies! I have seen some really big bunny hops and manuals on trials bikes. I've just never seen me do it. 8P i've considered a new frame, but i am one of maybe two trials riders and among a very slim pickings when it comes to non-BMX street bikes in Oklahoma. That makes trying other bikes difficult. I will try a new stem for sure, now. Fourplay Reach from centre of BB shell to centre top of head tube: 650mm (25.5") A1 Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: Short 665mm (26.25"), [Long 675mm (26.5") <--- mine is the long version] is this measurement parallel toptube length? how noticeable would this change be, the 675mm to the 650mm? a new frame was recommended a few times. any suggestions on which frame or what i'd be looking for in a different frame? thanks guys here's a pick of me and the bike in my backyard on an obstacle i fashioned (before brake booster and rear wheel grind) like a face to a name, a bike to a discussion 8D
  5. on my other bike, stumpjump hardtail, i was able to bunnyhop pretty well for me. on my adamant, +45 BB and 1090 wb, i can clear tall street curbs. that is about 1/3 to 1/4 the height of the stumpjumper. is there a way to make my adamant for bunnyhop friendly? i'd also like to get into manuals. however, i've never worked on manualing an other by beside the adamant. here are some of my parts. im not sure about any more specific specifications per part. 6. i do not know what the deal is. he is riding a bike. what more do we need to encourage his style? it looked pretty awesome. it was also quite redundant. music was not my taste. so i just muted it. i look forward to more from him. hopefully with some more versatility.
  7. if any uses this be aware that used transformer oil can have some very nasty chemicals with it, namely polychlorobenzenes. PCBs
  8. looks SICK! do you have before and after weights?

thanks guys, i agree about the front hub needing to be black, i went from a free hub(blue) to a fixed hub(black) bc the echo free hubs kept breaking. i felt like trying a different tire, i have the front kenda kinetic. i really like the second picture too! i have tried about 37423904720384023x to get registered on observed trials but i cannot get through to the webmaster OR get the registration verification to function. and were you guys being kind not mentioning my rockets valve stem caps?
  10. this is my first trials bike and i love riding it. just wish there was a larger trials scene here in oklahoma. 11. wow, quite a sizable drop! i like the snail shell part, too.
  12. very well put, wiremesh. i always have an awesome time even when break parts and know i have to spend some cash o fix it.
  13. trials is HUGELY UNpopular in the usa. i live in oklahoma and i have only HEARD of 2 trials riders beyond myself (i got into it last fall with my adamant a1), one of which doesnt ride anymore. the population of our state is about 3 million. how 'bout them odds? one of the only suppliers for parts is about 5 business days shipping away. 8( i've considered moving to a place where i can find more riders. side note, i have a really awesome time riding and learning and challenging myself with the new style. i too get the weird looks and "where's your seat?" it is funny bc i like watching people.
  14. hi everyone! austin here and i live in the USA ( dont hate me too much please 8p ) Oklahoma City to be exact. i used to play a LOT of video games (WoW and CS:S) but now i've moved on to cycling. mainly street on my 06 stumpjumper and realized how much more fun a trials bike would be. SO i just ordered one from webcyclery.com. they have been SUPER great about helping me with parts and maintenance. so with weeks of broken/unusable bike, i've been riding for about 2 months. Adamant A1 Blue Echo Accents (bar, bashring, rims) kenda kinetics tires on blue rims with black spokes/nipples, echo blue hub front and echo fixed rear hub white ind FFW i also enjoy photography with my Leica VLux1, fun cars, and computers, OH and Boba Tea from asian markets 8P
