  1. Hi all, been debating getting an adamant a3 for a couple of months. I noticed this topic so i just thought i'd get some opinions on it before i decide. I've currently got the 07 t-comp and have had some great times on it, it was my first bike and i feel it's time to move on and upgrade. All opinions and thoughts greatfully received. Thanks Mitch
  2. onza hognesium pedals, i've got a pair and their the best pedals i've ever had.
  3. Great riding and a decent video, beautiful bike to. Hopefully be getting the a3 after christmas.
  4. creepy crawlers definately. Without doubt the best performing 20” trials tyre on the market - a quote from the tartybikes website
  5. Hiya, I started on a t-vee then got my t-comp in february, it's been a purely amazing bike to ride and i think it's great. I have never had any major problems with it and it's still in good working order now. Wicked bike and if i were to need to buy a new bike i'd happily buy the same again. mitch
  6. just realised where abouts some of that footage is. i've got family near rhos on sea. hopefully see you around next time im up there. mitch
  7. hiya, i agree with getting a long frame but someone once warned me not to get a koxx. Apparently the frames snap after about 6 months. My t-comps never given me any trouble though. Nice looking and reasonably cheap. hope this helps
  8. (iam thinking of getting a mongoose fireball 08 is this a good bike? thanks) If your looking for a good bmx then i'd personnally reccommend a 'eastern'. I own an eastern battery and its such a smooth ride. hope this helps Mitch
  9. Pretty sure i can get some pallets sorted, couple of my relatives work for ANC/Fedex.
  10. hi all, loving the positive responses and nice to see the ideas flowing, and the positive support is great. The more help behind this the better we can make it. Thanks to echo josh for contacting the council much appreciated. if anyone wants to have a proper chat you can add me on msn (sticky_trials@hotmail.co.uk). Thanks again lets hope we can make this happen. Mitch
  11. After a long day at work, I have drafted up emails both to the bbc and to the council, just going to read them through again make sure i've got the main points down and wait for their response! Hopefully won't take too long, Children in need is on the 16th November, which is a Friday, so i'd imagine there will be plenty of people out raising money or supporting the event, so definately a lot of opportunity out there. Thanks for the support from everyone (good point about the weather!), I'll update again soon, hopefully with some good news!
  12. Thanks for the replies, the idea was to raise money for a good cause and i knew organising it wouldn't be easy. I admit it does seem very far fetched but i thought with the help of people on here it would become easier and seem possible. I was thinking of Birmingham or London because of their position, accessability and for impact, but the idea of people in different cities is good, will get everyone involved and aware, possibly have an elected person to organise their area, liase with the council etc.? Maybe a bit to ambitious at this stage, but with a bit of luck and sufficient support this can be sorted out! Don't want to leave anyone out, or have people not involved because its not local enough. As for sponsorship, not the best idea, but possibly have people (riders friends, family, partners anyone!) in fancy dress or something with buckets that people can donate to (not begging in my opinion, especially where charity is concerned, and people will be donating of their own free will and because they respect/are impressed with the riders and their abilities). I will be writing to the BBC to get their input on the idea, and will post the reply on here, and hopefully have there backing. I wasn't thinking a ride round town midday on a busy saturday or something, more along the lines of a set area, with a perimeter, and an area for observers so there is no risk to the public. Having looked into it, i doubt that we can get a TV crew, but local newspapers would probably attend and cover the event. Like i said at the start, it's an off the cuff idea, wasn't sure how seriously it would be taken, or how feasible it actually is, was looking for some feedback on the idea. Hopefully, with a response from the BBC, we can start the ball rolling, or stop it if necessary, either way, will keep you all informed as soon as anything comes up. Thanks again, Mitch.
  13. Thanks for your replies, I'm going to have a look into dates, locations etc. Just throwing around a few idea's at the moment.. Not quite sure if we could pull off a demo.. But we'll see what comes up! will have to get in touch with local Councils etc (boring bits) but ill update with anything i think is necessary. It's really nice to know that people are willing to help a good cause, and it's a good excuse for a big ride, not that we need one! Would be nice to give people the right impression about us, stop them thinking we're yobs. Thanks again everyone! Mitch.
  14. Ive heard the t-comps are a bit heavy on the front end, but i love mine, i'ts been great to learn on and still takes everything i give it, never had any problems with it in the time i've had it, not even a popped tube! (hopefully not jinxed it!)
  15. Hiya, How are you finding your T comp?
  16. Hi all, Just thought it might be a good idea to maybe do something for Children in Need. Maybe something like a sponsored ride around London or Birmingham? Somewhere where it would be noticed. Would be good to get the sport out there and a bit more well known, to get more people in to the sport and to raise money for a good cause. It's just ideas and thoughts at the moment, thanks for taking the time to read this. and if you've got any ideas or opinions they'd be greatly appreciated. thanks again Mitch
  17. As everyone has been saying, we all have to start somewhere. Everyone progresses at their own rate, and its really good to see you sticking with it, and not giving up at the first sign of difficulty. Constructive criticism can be very helpful, if you approach it with the right attitude and an open mind. Most people on here are really helpful and encouraging. Fair play to you. Well done.
  18. wow, and i thought the 221ti was beautiful. that looks amazing. still prefer the white rims though.
  19. i got a medium grind done when i bought my t-comp and tartybikes recomended i use rock pads, so i purchased the red ones and they've been fine. can't fault them, hope this helps. mitch
  20. sounds like a bargain to me, i'd love a pair of white magura's. any chance of knowing where to get them? cheers
  21. i started on a t-comp, i've never had to replace anything. it's been beautful to learn on. can't fault it great bike and looks nice too.
  22. i've got a medium rim grind on my rear and ive used rock pads as i was told the grind rips normal brake blocks to shreds, got it done by tartybikes and i've never had a problem with it, very strong brakes with plenty of grip recommend it to everyone.
  23. leicester ride sounds like a great idea to me, ( lol at the email add ) look forward to speaking to you on msn. mitch
