Jon Mack was only asking if Dave6895 knew the Hope guys, as his post sounded as if he did. I got the same impression, which could easily be a little out.

What sort of stuff do you work with/on, Dave?
Would be handy if you could do a lot of stuff yourself, I'd imagine you could save a fair old packet
All i know of Hope is what i ca read off there website and say of great and amazing products that i have used. I've called my mate. The DVD is in a .VOB file formatt. I will be picking up a copy of it tonight and will need to convert it to MPEG, AVI divx i think.
All sorts of stuff. A lot of aerospace stuff but all manners of enginering stuff. Have CNC/cad,cam, plasma cutter along with a water cutter being fitted. I've made a few steal mech hangers for some local XC riders. Booster is something i'd like to try out

I maybe new and i might of found a hole in the market to avoid Chris (Zhi) from ripping us off but please can you stop PM'ing me asking to buy the frame and then sell you it.
I am not even sure i will get one my self, let alone the 110% certanity of a set price inc shipping and all the other detials to go with from the shop that sells them.
My PM box has been rammed and i think it's really rude having 50+ people asking me like this.
As and when i go ahead on such a thing i'd do a post maybe about a group buy to see about some discount. Till then please can you stop spamming me with PM after PM.

I found that void in the market by Google, you can do the same. Asking me to buy it for you as well, you not go your mum or dads credit card etc

I'm a metal worker, i know whats needed to be done on the stuff. A local bikeshop had a DVD off Hope showing some production and there is a part where they show the disc being cut, treated and cleaned.
I will try and get a copy and uplaod it

Thanks for the video, good idea that. Right i now see the problem. Admitly at the end of the video when you had the axle spinning it sounds like bearings where moving too and not happy.
On the drive side, is it possible to fit it in a dropout, say the non drive side of the frame so you'd do the bolt from inside the frame. Ie: looks like you have 1 staberliser wheel.
If so do it and do the bolt up mega tight. This should hold it nicely so you can then undo the non drive side.
I don't know how you've let it go like it has. Some grease on the threads of the bolts will not go a miss next time as this should help them come off easyer.

Looks good. Once machined out it'll need a surface grinding to get flat then a heat treatment follwoed by a dish washer degressing.
Think your wanting 600*c for the heat treament and then it's going to be cooled under presure is what Hope do.

I got this last night, website is pretty random layout but very cool. I chose not to pay for it, yes i'm a skinflint but i had heard some of it already and i was not that impressed at all with it. Listing to it again now as i've nothing to do in work
Downloaded pretty fast so thats about it

If its marked as a gift, and the value is marked at under £36 - no tax.
If it is marked as what it is, i.e. not a gift, and £100 you'll have to pay no more than £20-£25 in tax. So i wouldn't really lose sleep over it. Seems like a really good deal to me...
Erm when the hell did that change then? It's £18 and has been for a long time. Warranty or sample gets through as well

You thought of asking round and seeing if anyone else wants anything, may help you save on postage. You any idea how much it is for a pair of magnesium rims form there? And i think you should really look into seeing if you will be done with import tax or just to cover your back anyway get the shop to put the value of the product down as below 25 quid i think that way your excempt from it.
£18 GBP and a gift is the limit for anything coming in to the uk as an import from a non EU country.
I duno how i'd go about it as i'd be advertizing i think which is not allowed.

engages fine and all that.
BUT
i still cant get the bolt out:S
2 allen keys, or bolt one side on the frame up mega tight and then undo the other. You'll see if you go through the way of doing it. You will kick you self soon

i think its becuase i cant actually undo one of the hub bolts?
the non drive side bolt is stuck in and i cannot find a way of undoing it ...

Umm tank'ness didn't do it then, bugga. I don't see why you need that non-drive side bolt to come off. Only the drive side as thats the side your working on. Just line the axle up if it has moved and twist the drive shell so as if it was all togther and working it'd click, just twsit it and push and it should go in and everything be in the right location. Make sure by twsiting it and counting the clicks as it all engages etc etc. Hope you get it sorted.

Could be both the paws and springs. What about if you rotated the body so the paws close as you gently push it in the hub.
Sorry i fogot to say you should push with tumbs on the axle and wiggle the sprocket off. I kinda though there was some logic/understanding it's floating in there.

Will you have to pay any import tax?
I've mailed to ask but as far as i know not as it's inc in the price. I mailed to make sure and ask can it come via a differnt courrie once in the UK as what with Royal Mail at the moment it'll get lost.

Basically those are your options with an SLR! Good man for going with something different like Olympus, really is a great system and a great company.
The only downside really is that the Olympus pro lenses are quite expencive, as they are also waterproof and dustproof I believe.

They are less than. Think, the shops sells it, they need to cover cost, then there is shipping and materials.
I googled and looked around and found a few places that sold it and mailed them. Got a reply of the cheapest and a lot use it so i'm going to order it latter this week.

Yeah thats right, it's new, it reset the lot, it'll be loads faster. Bit torrent one maybe. It's also a valid CD key you need as well. I'm not sure what TF's rule is on piracy so i stop there.
Is Vista worth the bucks, im perfectly happy with XPPersonly Vista is highly rated, taken a white paper servered on Bill to get SP1 for it and even then it's public BETA. It's also depends what you PC spec is.
XP is fine and is what i recomend highly
