It doesn't matter if it's heavy or not, it would take so long to set up. And it would just be stupid

Because then you'd have two pistons being powered by one lever, and you would have to have each brake set up so the pads would hit at the exact same time
so it just wouldn't work and you'd have half the power

We had a huge conversation about this to our Biology teacher and it is as said above just air/gases escaping from the spaces in between your joints. Thus why when the gases build up they start to put pressure on your joints, and after clicking/cracking your joints they often feel better.
Thats what he said anyway

Ok my tube exploded while my bike was in the car today think it got a bit too hot..
