  1. Does he f**k he's just a gimp that whinges all the time.

oh look at me i'm depressed, I'm sad, I'm going to kill myself, I hate the world. No one wants to buy my CDs. etc.

    Lmfao.

That is acctually, one of the funniest things I've seen said on this forum!

And joe. unlucky you hardcore speeder you ;)

    Tom

  2. I did that, and they don't have any spare crank arms lying around, and because they are machined in pairs, you will only be able to get a whole new set for £47 instead of getting just a non-drive crank for £20....

Surely if your taper is rounded you can tell just by looking at it?

My crank was always comming loose because the taper was rounding. Everytime I tightened it it got a little bit worse until it was totally buggered. If yours is rounding phone middleburn and see if you can get a cheap replacement, they're usually pretty good with things like that.

Other then that try giving the bolts and threads a really good clean and then locktiting them in.

What lengh BB is it your running? Perhaps the taper is too steep so your crank isnt holding it properly and you need a longer one? (This used to be the problem with mine)

  3. If your gonna run a very light grind then you have ground ur rim and thats that your not gonna get rid of the grind.

Why not put on a harsh grind and run some heatsinks or rimjam greens?

If your gonna run a smooth rim rimjam red or zoo .

    Hope this helped.

    Sam

    Read the feckin post!

    CRM's...Smooth rim= (Y)

Zoo!'s are also mint on a smooth rim.

    Tom

  4. I don't know what people have against Magura's?! They're simple to set-up and work beasty when they are set-up right. I've got Coust pads on med grind Ronnie and no tar at all and everyone who goes on my bike just says it's stupidly powerfull! Set it up properly and forget Vee's on a mod!

    Ooo there not.

Naa, it's gonna be done, don't worry.

    Tom

  5. *Cough* you're welcome.

Aye, Tom. I still don't know why you have so many problems with maguras, they just really don't like you!

A decent booster, decent pads (such as heatsinks, with your choice of 50mm maggie pads), and decent converters will do you grand. Good cables are a must too. (Like my XTR you can have :()

You've not got much to loose by trying it anyway.

    Mike.

    Yea, Cheers mikey :P :P

Hmm....gonna have to run a grind though......

Unless i get a new rim, which it might be time for.

  6. Yea Seb I did go on your Koxx, oh my god that brake was immense! Found avid ultimate arms on evay for like £35-40 brand new. Think i may get them and an XTR Lever.

Mmmm Cheers for all of your help all, much apprechated.

    Tom

  7. The only problem with adapters though Tom is that unless they clamp around the frame or something (instead of simply bolting into the existing maggy mount) you will find they flex like a b*****d.

This is a wee problem

I know, was thinking about that, ive got convertors on the front and they dont seem to bad at all. Grr i dunno....

    Tom

  8. One of the best things about a vee is that its not a Magura :(

Phythonrider I wouldnt recomend trying to bodge a vee onto your mods 4-bolt mounts (If thats what you're doing) its a bitch to do well and no one makes any proper good adapters

I've been told that Mr. Edd Potts makes some good convertors? And olli, I've had endless problems with my maggie, and it's realy getting on my tits now. Im sure I'll find a way to make it work, cheers for the concern though (Y)

    Tom

  9. Evein' all, just wondering what people run as a rear vee on the back. What arms, what lever, pads, cables and how does it compare to a maggie?

Iv'e had enough of my maggie being a b*sterd, and just want a pretty hastle free rear brake.

So yea, what you all run?

    Cheers in advance

    Tom

  10. It hasnt really helped though to be honest (Y) it's better but still comes undone eventually, I will try the coke can bit too tomorow night!

    James

Coke can is for if it is rounded, so the crank is done up tight but it still moves on the BB.

If it keeps coming undone then dosn't sound like rounded? Unless you mean it feels loose and the bolt is done up tight?

    Tom

  11. I think they mean't the other dude :(

And er, sorry guys, but i've disabled the video, you've had long enough to get it, and its killing my bandwidth, and if im honest, i don't want to release my video with no bandwidth left.

If anyone finds it cuntish, take it up with me, and i will turn it back on, or you can pay the $415.05 in excess charges that im currently expected to do if i don't control the bandwidth

Don't worry, i will be doing this with my video too, along with Jonny's when its released. Hopefully i will have a load management script sorted soon to control video downloads.

So sorry for anyone who hasn't got it.

    (Y)

Shame Iv'e been so slow in getting/realising its out.

    Sounds like a cool vid.

Don't suppose you wanna turn it back on for like 5 mins do you :P

    Tom

  12. Dunno about the coke can , try plastic like a bag or chirps .

Little bit of locktight and screw like a lesbian.

    Sam

    Ps

    Cool saying trialsboyjo  (Y)

Sam no offence but what the f**k do you know.

You could just give middleburn a shout and get a new crank arm for 20 (non-drive) or for £27 (Drive side)

Although they do not have any single arms lying around at the mo, and they are machined in pairs.

Is it drive side or non? If it's drive side, i'll go halves on you for a new pair, because I have a fecked non-drive?

Give us a Pm if you do.

    Tom

  13. No can you post a pic of you lying next to your bike, flat.

Want to see if you are longer that the wheelbase

    Nice bike though (Y)

Still recon mod would suit you better :(

    Tom

  14. Yea I liked that, it seems to be pretty all over the place though.

And would have been good to have got some footage of the people we (well I defo) went to see ride....(Tunni,Craig,Ot Pi,Giles,Cesar,Benito,Vincent,Walker,Slinger,Savage,Hawsey,Akrig,Ashton, E.C.T...)

Still a nice vid, captured the Hop-Idol pretty well, part from seeing clips I know were done on saturday, but being shown in the finals/sunday riding, and vice-versa.

Music chosen well, and all around good editing

    Roll on Bike 06 (Y)

  15. Can someone explain to me what these actual are?

They are those coloured wristbands that are supposed to represent a special cause.

    E.g Blue=Anti-bulling

    Black/White=Anti racism.

    E.c.t

    Tom

  16. Hey, as it says in title. Iv'e left it pretty late so loads of people don't turn up, just for anyone who feels like riding brum,

    Theres gonna be:

    Me

    Rich Rowden

    Ben Trinder

    John (On python (Trialsworks)) {Soz don't know last name}

Dan ko will after I persuade him to :D

    Tom

EDIT: Forgot to add, we'll be meeting at new street at 11:30.

  17. The drop was about 12 feet to the ground (you can see Neil Tunnicliffe standing in the foreground and he's about six foot something) so it was about 8-10 feet drop to the log, which was about 10-12 feet away, and the landing spot was roughly the size of a Mini hubcap. T'was sodding nuts...

    Rich

From that big high round pillar type thing on the flatbed to the ground was around 10Ft.

Measured when I was there :)

    D/L now.
