  1. Yeah really the shorter the frame the easier to bunnyhop in my experience. Mostly why most mod riders bunny hop to back wheel while stock riders tap, although on long mods they sometimes tap. If i ride a day on my MTB it feels so weird having to put the effort in to manual when i get back on the trial bike. Actually quite weird Brad.
  2. First i learned how to trackstand, then i'd try and rock between both wheels and then got backhops nailed After that your set to try some harder stuff. Brad.
  3. I personally think it is to do with strength as well, I can get my mod on the backwheel with no effort but having a go on a stock its much harder to keep it up, but im sure I could get used to it. Maybe instead of strength it would just be adjusting to the change in the bike. Who Knows... Brad.
  4. A lot of people in other threads have been saying not to waste time on 20" as they are supposedly 'Kids' Bikes. I Find that ridiculous and am glad someone has an example of why mods are good, not everyone has the strength or maybe height as it may be to ride a stock. That's exactly why i think that mods are very good for beginners. Brad.
  5. Yeah the threads have gone where the bolt goes on my mates so he has to literally bolt it on. His bike dropped onto a wall only about a foot high and the lever body on it snapped in half, they are very weak. Brad.
  6. I run a KMC and it has worked as long as Ive had my bike. The KHE ones are supposed to come with a couple of stiff links though so look out for that if you get one. They can be 'Un-Stiffened' Though so its not really a problem. The KMC had never caused me any problems though and has been running good. Brad.
  7. The Zip frames look very nice, and are supposed to be really similar to the old zoo's. Never ridden on myself but i wouldn't mine one! I'm sure if you got it you wouldnt be disappointed Brad.
  8. I hop everything with my right foot, haps, gaps, sidehops etc I spin to my right and i sidehop to my right. I prefer to ride more a smooth flowing style if i can but also like doing stuff that involves being really accurate and precise. Brad.
  9. How can you really say riding 20" was a waste of 2 years, maybe to you but not to other people Other people may find it much easier than riding a stock will ever be for them. Craig Lee Scott rides a mod sooo nice and Dave he rides it awesome and there are some really smooth riders on here with mods. You cant just say hes going to waste his time on a mod because your not him. Not starting anything like but its really up to him, if you find a 26" too big and hard to control maybe a long mod, its totally personal preference, maybe go to some rides if there are any near you and test out some bikes that people have there I'm sure some riders will be willing to let you have a quick go and see which you prefer. Brad.
  10. Yep, Good find, hardly used, unwanted christmas present. Id say get it at the right price, there £299 new and thats pretty much new, it depends how high you can go. Good Luck. Brad.
  11. Mission Prodigy 20" Although there is a mission reefer 26" but never had any expierience with it.
  12. Try no hands Just do it however you feel comfortable mate, as long as your balancing and are not on the floor you know its going good Brad.
  13. Search around on ebay. There is those new onza out now, onza cleaners? There some others which are cheaper if you dont like the price which is like £500 ish. They are on tartybikes and look ok for a beginner and are also 26" And the Phase has also been a favorite of beginners. Heres some links Phase 1.3 http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2147 Onza SpyroGira http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10274 And The Onza Hitman http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10275 I think they are quite low prices for actually what you get and in my opinion a nice beginner bikes Although search ebay for a bargain. Brad.
  14. There is a trials specific magazine but its hardly ever actually published which i think has been mentioned. I still personally think MBUK is the best one out even though its not that good for trials really. Still, Not too bad if you want to read about biking in general. Brad.
  15. Its not really that suitable for trials, if you are serious about trials then look for a good starter bike like an Onza, Saracen MAD or something along those lines, But if you are just wanting to do trials as sort of a mess about then mabie get something like that which you can do small trials and other stuff like jumps etc... And obviously depending on whether you would like a 20" or 26" bike. Its totally up to you and depends on how you feel about wanting to do trials. I'm sure you will make the right decision Brad.
