  1. Riding is good. Bits around town, then mostly down the seafront and odd bits here and there. Naval base is near nothing to ride. Atleast 5-10mins to the closest thing that's worth riding.

Is that a 5-10 bike ride i take it ? Ill probably just make a topic when im down there and see whos about.

  2. I will be buying a frame in a couples week so far i prefer the Slate 2 but considering i snapped my DoB in 2 months would this frame last ? If you had the choice of one of these frames which would you choose and why. Geo's are very similar but im look at weight and construction strength of all these frames. Visuals has a lot to do with it and i deem the Neon Bow the ugliest of the 3.

I want to run Viz light forks and im 6ft3 if it helps. Does anyone know the warranty length on any of these frames also, it would be much appreciated as I cant find them around.

  3. hi

Ok then to start off with i'm not bothered about being a newbie

. And i really don't no why people want advice on how to do it that's not going to help if you want to learn the watch a video you will find it so much easier believe me.

Also we are not all newbie's in this section so there's no reason why we can't have topic like in the full members forum. :S

    my apology's aidan

For some reason I believe you are annoyed about not being a full member otherwise you wouldn't state it and would carry on regardless. Although i can see your point about NMC being a bit small talk sometimes maybe you should take time to read FMC and NMC to find a good topic to start and get a good debate on. I would agree watching videos probably is a good way to learn, but talking always helps. Even if it is to get your self in the Trials-forum system.

i really am not bothered about being a new member at all its just the fact of people asking stupid questions that don't make any difference. And when i first registered on here sometime after Xmas i think i made about ten good topics and didn't get validated so i have given up and don't really care any more but because i am a new member i want there to be some good topics to talk about not just people asking what knobbles to cut off there tyre's and stuff like that. <_<

Just to make things clear i've been a member since 05-December 07 being in NMC until only just a few weeks ago, if you create uninteresting topics and usually end in" please dev's validate me i love trials" like i used to before i grew up a little and took time to read and respond accordingly on these forums you probably wont get validated. ( I'm not stating you need to grow up here ) I only got into FMC after 3 years because i didn't put the effort in to make good responsive topics that people can actually input to.

So really considering you've only been a member since Christmas time ish its nothing really to be concerned about.

New members can not vote for other new members so clearly that does not work.

As for the new members validating each other, it would be a silly idea. You could simply make several accounts and bOOm your done. I regularly take time to respond to NMC because others did for me. I feel the system works maybe it should be 10 votes but meh I'm not to decide.

    All the best, Stefan

  4. I'm currently learning to tap off the front edge of walls helps tons if you can get it right but yes practice on smaller things and slowly build up your confidence and skills. Try and watch different videos, keeping a close eye on their foot positions and how the bike and body moves while going up obstacles. I would watch 1 move for example a multitude of times then go out and practice until i'd done it a few times.

    god speed and good luck

  5. yes i know what your saying, but the levels of radiation when it happened were rediculous!! so i think the levels must still be fairly high in that area, more than other places at least.

all i can say is i would never ride there lol

I wanna see what uldis says about the radiation ^_^ nutters

  6. yeah! if you come into contact with it your more likely to develop abnormalities in your cells and get cancer :S

Well its only REALLY bad if you inhale or ingest some kind of contamination, you'd be surprised how much radiation you would acquire from simply being in the sun. I don't reckon you'd get much contamination round that place but i would imagine there would be some radiation coming from the soil pretty much everywhere.

  7. Dob frames burn super nicely. You really need to give it a go - if you've got a blow torch that'll do it nicely, if not, slam that beast on a bonfire or something. Literally the brightest flames you'll ever see.

ha bonfire it is, ill have a spectacular beach party with parts of my DoB thrown on lol thanks.

There seem to be a lot of frames that come and go. Are some made by the same people? Be handy to know because these seemed to be pretty bad.

Yeah welding seemed pretty bad once i got a look at the insides of the joints, i would imagine with the stresses of trials welding joints has to be fairly precise but DoB is magnesium alloy so i can hardly complain really.

  8. How did you make a dob last 2 years? :o

I didnt, it lasted 2 months but i've had the frame for about 2 years just sitting around doing nothing as I quit trials for a couple years while I chased a career path. I had rims as well but the front one folded in half when i stacked on some natural haha, rear one has a few dents but is going strong surprisingly.
