  1. Ok so the bike i just bought used has the monty version of the 07 hope mono trials, the grey and silver ones.

They both needed a bleed so i bled them using a wrench and a bottle of fluid.

But now they seem to be leaking from the lever, im pretty sure that its from the resivoir cap and not the cable fitting but it could be either.

Has any one hit this problem before, what should i do about it because the feel of the lever keeps changing and its really annoying!!

  2. Becuase if you forget a tape measure you can use your penis as a rough guage.

Yeah that way if my tap is twice as high as my chong i know ive broken 24 inches.

Nices Mr. Simpson, though i usually measure from the nipple, its more practical.

  3. I agree its odd that there are never any protos out there but most of the big companies like monty and koxx make protos to see if their pro riders will like them, not to test for strength.

Deng probably has so man computer models and digital tests run on his frames that eh bairly needs to test them out.

That said im sure there are at least 1 or 2 protos built for the chinese riders to test a little.

In terms or breakage, i like my stuff to last at least 2 years, i mean im not a super smooth rider but i dont wanna have my rims taco everytime i botch a dropgap.

There are things like bearings and spokes and stuff that i dont mind having to replace once a season but i think if you spend 500 or more on a frame then it should last you for a good little while.

  4. Disc Brakes are easy.

Hope Mono Trials, last word man, nothing even comes close.

The avid BB7 could work too but their a bit of a pain.

For cranks ive had great luck with my ZOO! arms and alot of people like the echo forged ones.

Tensile also makes verynice cranks but they have a hugher price point.

For a headset, Chris King would be nice but a pig dh or canecreek would be just fine.

For a freewheel, the try all ones are nice and so are the white industries.

For a stem and bar its hard without knowing the geo and your style cuz its a really personal choice, but if you look on tartybikes in the stem section there is a little guide to help you, if you cant decide email adam and hell help you, hes helped me and we dont even live on the same continent.

Fork a for, if you want somin like mega strong then the GU or the Echo Urbans are nice, if u want somin a little lighter, then the Koxx or Echo lite fork is probably the best.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

    Ian

  5. I used to pedal up onto everything.

But after i got more confident on the rear wheel pedalkicks started to be alot more useful.

Infact pedal kicks up are on of my fav things to do on my bike.

In terms of height, i can do around 2 foot depending on the gap, it actually gets a little easier when you have a bit of a gap because you start to realise you have to throw your body alot.

  6. I found that when i started on the back wheel i held my front brake cuz i was really tense. But no that backwheeling has become second nature im alot more relaxed and dont really do it as much.

As for helping with certain moves, im not really sure because most moves you land to the front wheel you have the front brake on to start with so...??

Either way its just a lil easier to relax with no front brake.

  7. You mean like tapping a wall or w/e, the move.

You clearly have never seen a damon watson video if thats the case.

+60 and throwing down like 60" taps man.

High bbs just take some gettting used to on the tap side. I find its easier to go to rear on a high bb bike with a tap but i dont get quite as high, for some reason.

    Cheers,

    Ian

  8. Ok so ive been looking at mods lately and when i rode with my friend who had one, under the bash plate there was this think that looked like a brake pad that the plate hit.

Where does one get one of whatever these things are.??

    Thanks

  9. trust me hes not kidding, i would ride 2 weeks with no front brake to save for a hope before i would buy a hayes, and the bb7s are mad cheap with mad power, and u can use the mech lever u like.

  10. Apart from the obvious pros lol id say that james barton helped me alot, hes a super chill guy and loves to talk trials and black metal.

My friend mike really helped me too, he helped my get through my gf dying 2 weeks ago and has been supportive and just plain great guy all the way through.

Friends and riders like that are what makes me really want to ride my bike.

    Luv you mike

    Cheers,

    Ian

  11. how much is it????

U tryin to steal my deal lol

The monty brakes are Hope brakes so there ok but the one in the pic the hose is broken.

But i mean rebleeding the brake isnt too much trouble i figure.

  12. Yeah my bro wants to start trials and i want a dual disc mod so.

Theres a guy selling an 07 221ti with dual discs.

So basically i want to know, would this be an okay bike for an already skilled bmxer to learn on and for an experianced rider to ride aswell.

It comes with those monty 28 spoke rims, are they strong enough for someone like me whos not mega smooth all the time or should i look somewhere else.

And it comes with a monty rear hydraulic disc, ive never heard of them but are they any good??

Is 600 bucks a good deal even if the bike dont have a fork and needs new tyres.

    some pics
