  1. They're pretty much custom made. The axles tend to be the only 'donor' part, predominatly from Tamiya (Japanese RC company) trucks. Chassis are now bein produced in numbers, but until recently there were maybe one or two suppliers in the US, the rest were custom jobs. The controls range from straightforward left/right forwards/reverse to independant steering at each end and seperate throttle controls for each axle This is a more basic one, just independant front/rear steering; http://www.tamiyaclub.com/moviecomment.asp...273&uid=169 More 'traditional' design - central gearbox with driveshafts to axles (a la fulsize 4x4) Pretty much as seperated from reality as you can get, basically two axles held together by a beam. Each end has it's own steering and throttle
  2. Gotta be worth a look though, cheers
  3. You're right, post-whoring is so much more interesting, thanks for pointing it out. Thanks guys for the replies, we're probably not looking at such big boulders as you would be, so any sites that weren't challenging enough for you may be just what we need. Oxford does seem a bit barren though, the only half-decent site so far is a quarry at Stanton St John (Headington/Wheatley A40)
  4. I'm on the Abingdon Road, just up from the Head of The River I haven't ridden for ages, even then it was FS mountain bikes - when XT thumbies were the kit to have
  5. Hi all Does anyone know of any decent sites around Oxford? It's not for trials though I'm afraid, I'm trying to find a few sites for radio control rock crawler competitions. I live in central Oxford and work in East Hendred - is there anywhere around? Bracken Rocks up north looks a decent site, something like that in Oxford would be sweet - any ideas? Here's last years course, at Black Rocks http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...4766&id=169 Many thanks
