  1. From the rear disk trials bikes i have rode, I think they are really nice!

    Pros.

Hold better then maguras when wet.

They have a nice bite and dont slip.

    Very low maintenance.

    Cons.

    Easy to bend disk.

Have been know to help crack frames around the chain stays.

I personally would run a disk for natural riding and run a magura for street riding. (Y)

    Gary.

  2. I just brought a giro hex 08 helmet, they look really good and they are very lite weight and only costs about 45 quid off www.chainreactioncycles.co.uk.

I have also had a giro E2, but dont get one if you have a small head because you will look like a mushroom:P

  4. Please use the search in future this topic comes up all the time.

For your information i have searched and nothing came up, for a 19-12 gear ratio for mod.

so please use the search in future before you post pointless posts!

im going to go for the 19-12 gear ratio i will let u know what i think people (Y)

  5. 16 - 12 . . thats pretty hard really.

If you find 18 - 12 a bit too easy, you could give 19 - 12 ago, I'm not sure if you can get 19 tooth screw on sprockets or freewheels though. If not you could drop to an 11 on the back . . if your running a profile or can find an 11 tooth threaded sprocket, but that might be quite a bit stiffer, it makes more of a diffrence if you change the back sprocket rather than the front.

    Cheers tom (Y)

Yeah Ive seen the 19T screw on sprocket on tartys.

I reckon ill give it a go i just feel that i need a little bit harder gearing set up for back wheeling.

Does anyone think it may affect side hops lunges etc?

    Gary.

  6. hey everyone

I'm currently running a gear ratio of 18-12, its feeling a little light for back wheeling

as I'm running a longer frame.

So I'm thinking of running a 19-12 ratio so its slightly harder.

I would like to know your views e.g will it affect any other aspects of riding?

    cheers Gary :)
