  1. Why does he do that for you? Is that cos your mum looks like Chewbacca?
  2. He is a proper beast, I want his new bike too lol
  3. I may have introduced myself before, but my name is Adam, I ride in Hull with some superior riders lol. Anyway, I had to post this, well done Danny you badass, you must have massive balls! he drop gapped to the second railing btw Your turn now Damon , I'll just watch again haha
  4. I think you missed my point, I mean put a more 'normal' seat on your bike instead of the plastic seat. Hence... "the difference that is going to make on a older bike like that is going to be smaller than negligible surely..." I only think some utter dipstick would not put a seat on it, even if it did look better than those. Anyway, as you were.
  5. Not really a fan of the Monty's in general as it's not my style, but I'd see it as an ideal bike to get started on. For basics, I know this will sound bloody boring, but you only need a curb at most, for instance you can practice everything from your 1 2 hops to pedal kicks. I'd follow a video of some sort, I recently got Ryan Leech's The Art of Trials: Brilliant DVD if you need a hand. Protection wise, I'd only use Helmet and Gloves at this stage, it's not really necessary to wear anything else. I have worn knee and shin guards before, but that was for dirt jumping.
  6. Not strictly bicycle trials, but on a Beta 250cc Trials motorcycle I have snapped the swinging arm after a drop off... bad times!
  7. I had no idea that there was an obsession with Giant for trials like there appears on here, maybe it's just me... they look cool but a bit too chunky for really getting the big stuff done. However it does bring back a lot of memories of chatting to Martin at trials meetings years ago. However, I suppose if you're a big strapping lad then that argument is balls. I'd get rid of the little plastic seat on it; for me they suit the really small performance bikes and the difference that is going to make on a older bike like that is going to be smaller than negligible surely...
  8. Martyn Ashton Cannondale, now with some 08 Tora's on for when I street ride, or P Bones for when I get serious I still love the classic trials look
  9. Yeah the Ryan Leech Art of... is a very good one; very clear and precise. It has got me back into it. Jeff Lenosky's Tricktionary is quite good, but that is more 'street' and 'freestyle'.
