  1. Hey guys,

Ive just recived my package from tartybikes (A new piston) and i dont know how to get the old one out. Please help!

if your on about the lever, just take the lever blade off and it should slide out, if not then just use something to grip it and pull it out slowly.

    hope this helps

  2. Or just learn how to control your landings, set your brake up properlly in the first place and actually pull it.....

    Works for me.

For now, I would keep it smooth, set up your brake perfectly and try it for a bit. See how you get on, if you don't like it then grind it.

yeah, i think ill do that. but if i do decide to grind

the rim, how long will the pads last??

  3. hey all,

just what to know weather i should have a grind or keep a smooth rim for these pads.

dont really like grinding my rim, but if i have to i will unsure.gif

what do YOU have, and how are they??

  4. Hi all,

I have a pair or hs11's on my mod onza t-bird. I find them fine for small kind of flatland stuff like 360 pivots and pedal kicks ect, but when it comes to getting up something, or when im on a ledge were I need them to hold they slip through. its so frustrating. I have grinded my rims and put new pads in but that hasn't seem to done the trick.

anyone have any offers on how to make them stronger?

    thanks

    Hugo..

you could try a booster on your brakes,, or buy hs33. i had hs11 on my t bird, and to be honest they are abit pants for trials.

  5. Spin your wheel as fast as possible, and put the tar against your rim, and apply a slight bit of pressure, keep doing so, until you have enough.

    Obviously repeat for both sides.

even if you do put to much tar on, just wet a rag with turps (white spirits) and rub it off.

  6. iv always been a hs33 up front rider, but i had a go of my mates onza blade and i just love the disc. i love riding rocks and with a disc you can do lines so much smoother.

Plus if you live where there are loads of hills it helps abit, no squeaking

  7. Yes you can, it just doesn't have the quick adjust knob. You adjust it with the cable like you would other brakes, this makes them more solid feeling.

thats what i mean, you can adjust the inside pad with the knob, and the outside pad with the cable. there is an adjuster on the caliper for the cable and then one on the lever. ( or if you have a XTR lever 2) hehe
