Hey guys,
Ive just recived my package from tartybikes (A new piston) and i dont know how to get the old one out. Please help!
if your on about the lever, just take the lever blade off and it should slide out, if not then just use something to grip it and pull it out slowly.
hope this helps

lovely bike sam,
what rear hub are you using?
didnt think trialtech had a disc rear hub?
-
thanks everyone, think ill try them on a smooth rim and grind it if need be.
-
Or just learn how to control your landings, set your brake up properlly in the first place and actually pull it.....
Works for me.
For now, I would keep it smooth, set up your brake perfectly and try it for a bit. See how you get on, if you don't like it then grind it.
yeah, i think ill do that. but if i do decide to grind
the rim, how long will the pads last??
-
So either way they are amazing really. With a smooth rim, use a bit of tar or have a grind? Im considering getting some, will a heavy grind mangle these pads?
???
-
hey all,
just what to know weather i should have a grind or keep a smooth rim for these pads.
dont really like grinding my rim, but if i have to i will
what do YOU have, and how are they??

what exactly does a booster do?

Hi all,
I have a pair or hs11's on my mod onza t-bird. I find them fine for small kind of flatland stuff like 360 pivots and pedal kicks ect, but when it comes to getting up something, or when im on a ledge were I need them to hold they slip through. its so frustrating. I have grinded my rims and put new pads in but that hasn't seem to done the trick.
anyone have any offers on how to make them stronger?
thanks
Hugo..
you could try a booster on your brakes,, or buy hs33. i had hs11 on my t bird, and to be honest they are abit pants for trials.

headtube is beautiful

i love it, A3 winner

Spin your wheel as fast as possible, and put the tar against your rim, and apply a slight bit of pressure, keep doing so, until you have enough.
Obviously repeat for both sides.
even if you do put to much tar on, just wet a rag with turps (white spirits) and rub it off.

looks lovely

Ive had 661 glove before an they wasn't very good fell apart an i couldn't ride that much because my hands where hurting
then iv tried to help, (failed) hope you find the gloves you want
-
how thick are the palm area because thats where its hurts the most after i ride or during a ride
i dont know what you mean by "how thick" but they protect your palms and inbetween your thumb and index finger lovely.
so id say reasonably thick, but still light and comfortable.
here they are. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24900

its an ADAMANT A3 echo urban wheels echo cranks echo bars, forks and stem. getting monty tyres. bb5 front maggie rear. bout it i think.
i was going to try to single wall the rims, how do i go about doing that?
-
morning all
i really want my bike to be abit lighter, any ideas?
got a drill and a grinder. sooo
-
you wouldnt have to turn your chain around, just the split link. should be fine then
-
iv always been a hs33 up front rider, but i had a go of my mates onza blade and i just love the disc. i love riding rocks and with a disc you can do lines so much smoother.
Plus if you live where there are loads of hills it helps abit, no squeaking
-
Exactually, people are to quick to dismiss BB5's but i find them much MUCH!!! better.
me too, amazing brake
-
Yes you can, it just doesn't have the quick adjust knob. You adjust it with the cable like you would other brakes, this makes them more solid feeling.
thats what i mean, you can adjust the inside pad with the knob, and the outside pad with the cable. there is an adjuster on the caliper for the cable and then one on the lever. ( or if you have a XTR lever 2) hehe
-
Can adjust each pad separately.
Plus better performance over all.
Alex.
you can adjust each pad separately on the bb5 though.
and you can get the bb5 working amazing
-
hey all,
just wanted to know why the bb7 costs more?
whats better about it, if there is anything better about it
