  1. Almost right, its an old disgotech hub that king now call the universal. Basically there is a bolt on disk adaptor that can be changed if you want to change disk bolt pattern - I think its legacy design from when not all disk manufacturers adhered to the ISO standard. King do dedicated disk hubs aswell

    Pfft :P

    I knew what i meant :P

The bike is stunning, i have a naughty titanium fetish.

  2. haha, you can't, not in purple anyway, discontinued about........blink.gif.......... 6 years ago? lol

Closest is that lame pink they do now.

That lame pink they do now is a color they sell for charity, breast cancer research to be precise... But other than that yeah its odd.

Like the bike, want the king ALOT!

  3. This is stunning! Really like the idea of that tensioner too. looks really strong.

Whats going on with the non-drive side on the king? Some sort of spline?

Its a disk tab mount, king hubs have removable disc mounts for some reason.

  4. I've got my new Onza Zoot Pro frame kit, its got a gloss-white powdercoat finish with purple graphics which im not so keen on... I was going to paint either the frame and the forks or just the forks atleast black.

I was just wandering what route you guys preffer going down,

Either sanding down the forks/frame with wet and dry (what grit is best for this?) and then painting over the roughed surface or using nitromorse and wire-wool to strip the powdercoat then painting over the raw metal?

    Any help/opinions appreciated

Wet and dry? Your brave. Use Nitromors to get off the majority then use heavy grit paper to take of the hard to reach bits, run over the whole frame with medium grit paper, primer, paint.

You only need to use Wet and dry if your planning on leaving it raw.

Nitromors probably wont shift the powder coat though.

  5. Hey all..... I am looking for some pictures of a zoo rear hub. 135mm stock hub with freewheel system built into it. Am buying one but want to see what it looks like before I meet up with the guy on Sunday.

    Thanks

    James

    Freewheel system built into it?

You either mean a free hub or a screw on freewheel on the back.

If its a freehub the it isn't fixed. By that i mean. If it doesn't have a freewheel screwed onto it and it turns then its not fixed.

  6. Lol you might have a bit of paper saying youve studied it. but you have no experience at all.

When i was at EM center for automotive training, they told me i could skip the diploma and go straight onto the higher levels because i had 4GCSE's above a c grade....

I still don't consider myself a mechanic i just know a bit more than most people.

  7. have you checked the free play is adjusted correctly? does it go into gear with the engine off?

btw just to say, i do know what im on about, doing a diploma on motor engineering :)

A diploma? That means your learning to know what your talking about.

If this guy seriously did do as you said, slap him, slap him hard.

  8. Its a beast. Its pretty much the same geo as the Rockman tractor but longer chainstays. And you not notice the disk? ;)

    Concrete ,rims whats the difference?

I bet it'd still go through your damned rim haha.
