My mate somehow managed to put some dents in each chainstay They haven't affected the strength of the frame as far as I can tell (Onza T-Bird) but it looks naff! What is the best stuff to use to try and build it out so it is neater before I spray it? Thanks in advance. If anyone else has dome something similar, how'd it go?
-
sorry, should've written that instead of privilaged! lol Still, I vote the vinyl shop too, your call of course
-
ah got you - was just trying to be helpful I'm not privilaged to own a czar so i didn't think about the different styles.

Is this what you are looking for or something similar? LINK

Its not that bad! Although some areas, well....no comment. That seems to be an all round response too mate! Seriously though, They are a pain in the backside in general and there going to be everywhere we are probably. I usually ride southsea seafront and theres usually some doing something they shouldn't near by... ignoring them seems to work though!

Nice bike! Sorry... back to topic as an idea, there are printing shops all around who make vinyls etc and they might be able to help. I know a guy down here that runs one and he said if I brought a copy of what I wanted as vinyls/stickers, he's sort it out as was going to get onza one;s for when i've sprayed my t-bird. Might be a thought of asking around - Good luck! jay

hi all I'm after some new bolts + Nuts for my bash plate. I have looked high and low but can't seem to find them! They are fairly long and for an Onza T-Bird. Also on the subject of looking for bits, I have seen quite a few trials riders with a fat rear tire that has a red stripe down the centre. Can anyone enlighten me which tyre this is please? Hope I haven't duplicated, couldn't find info anywhere! Thanks Jay

Nicely done There's loads in Pompey, but I must admit I've not had trouble with em when riding, they stand there with a gormless look most of the time watching. Or getting in the way

congrats mate

No problem, it was quite a smooth break, very clean. Still no idea to this day how I managed it! It was a quick release axle so could have been that. When you check it, have a close look around the cones too as it is a fine shear and if it is broken, it could be right near to the thread. Hope you get it sorted matey

Thats where I live and ride. I ride a fairly old Onza T-Bird. Not the greatest bike I've ridden but it does until I improve Vastly! lol
-
My full sus did that so i took the cones and axle out to check and found the axle had somehow snapped/sheared straight in half! Might be worth a look

Hi Steve. What is it like up Waterlooville for riding? It's been years since I've even been there! lol I am up for going for a ride, Will have to work it around my shifts at work though.... Jay

Hi mate, to be honest, 26 to 20 has been a nightmare! lol its hard enough to get back into riding, let alone on a smaller bike with different geometry! But i'm getting there Its fairly good to ride, I love the seafront in general so there's a few places to ride. I'll show you where I go when you get down here if you like. Steve, sorry to hear about your knee, hopefully riding will be possible again soon for you! Yeah defo go for a ride. (Congrats on the lil un! )

hi all I have posted a few times and didn't think to introduce first! I'm jay and from Pompey, been riding trials on and off for a fair few years. I've had a few bikes, mainly broken them and they were 26". I'm now on a 20" Onza T-bird which my mate "Donated" after leaving it to rot for a year in his garden, so I'm slowly doing it up. Thought i should introduce myself before continuing posting so hello all Jay

thanks for everyone's replies, but I have caved and just bought a cheap-ish alex to keep me riding
-
I think that sounds like a good idea, thanks mate! I'll do that and post results soon thanks to all for replies and advice, has been a help
-
Not as far as I can see!
-
Just done that, they do feel a bit loose, I do have spoke key, sorry for asking loads, so if i do one each half turn it may solve the problem? thanks for everyones advice and replies
-
I think so, it was on the bike when my mate gave it to me. Unfortunately, he decided to leave it to rot in his garden for the best part of a year! so i'l slowly sorting it out
-
Thanks for all replies, I think i'll just put up for it for another month then getta new wheel when payday hits again! I will have a go with the chain tension and just fiddle really! Thanks again people
-
Thanks for the replies guys, I'll try the chain thing, what is the best tension to have a chain? I do know the spokes are slightly loose, some more than others.jay
-
On my onza t-bird I have an alex rim, don't know any more than that. When i ride normally, it makes a strange sound, sort of a metal clicking/twanging sound. That probably doesn't make much sense but its hard to describe! I know the wheel is slightly buckled and I'll be getting a new one but can anyone give me pointers to sort it just in the mean time? Is there a chance the spokes need tightening? If yes, how do I do that properly? Much grateful!

Such A Thing As Practicing Too Many Moves?
jay2008 replied to Sabiot's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I'm still getting back into riding so I'll go out and just try basics but with more height/distance etc - must admit it ain't working great at the moment though!! I tend to ride on whatever and try and nail some thing until I do it or if I can't, go away and try somewhere else and go back to it. jay -
Well I can't be going that wrong because I am doing that, just not as well as I need to it seems!! Thanks for the replies guys, I'll start trying harder me thinks! While I'm doing the 3rd degree does "Tucking" the bike up once you've left the deck help at all? jay
